hopefan,

Bard does host SUNY Purchase but that will occur today on 12-9 not on 2-3. On 2-3 SUNY Purchase will host Bard. (hopefully seeking revenge ;))

Magic, from one senile guy to another---    while I failed to indicate the 12/9 date, the 2-3 represents SUNY Purchase's Won-Loss record  ;)

Is there anybody in the entire state of Maine who talks fast enough to do play-by-play?

There are plenty of them in Portland, but I don't know about Orono. ;)

And in the "SIDs can whitewash ANYTHING department"

QuoteMaine is coming off a loss at #7 Syracuse that saw the Black Bears score 43 points in ths second half- the most an opponent has scored against the Orange in a half this season.

Maine lost 101-55. Doing some math means that Maine score 12 points in the first half. Oops. The score at the half? 60-12.

And still Boeheim could only afford 1 minute to three walk-ons and 4 to another player. Yeesh. If I was ahead 60-12 after the first half I'd dress the student managers and trainers and maybe that one guy in the fifth row, over there.

Based on those stats, why didn't the SID lead with "Maine outscores Syracuse 43-41 in the 2nd half"?! ;D

Never have liked Boeheim.

I think UMPI is safely in the loss column tonite. ;)

Aw, that's one I was confident they would lose anyway. ;)  I'm counting on any game they might actually win to be snowed out (or at least results never posted)! ;D

Boeheim was the coach of the Syracuse JV team back in the '70s when I was a kid, when Roy Danforth was the varsity coach. You'd think that someone who used to coach the Tangerines (that's what they called Syracuse's JV team) would be a little more sympathetic to the plight of the walk-on.
