Being a Calvin fan, I really hate to point this out, but that's Hope's second loss; they're 0-2.

All the better; I'm glad to have provided you the opportunity.

Although, before you dog Hope too much, both losses were to undefeated NAIA II teams ranked in the Top 11. They were missing their best player for both games, and they were also missing their best big man for the second game.

Yes, but the tough early schedule and the absence of Dutch star Peter Bunn are two excellent reasons not to pick Hope in the knockout contest in the first place.

Then again, since the gentleman who picked Hope has an orange-and-white anchor logo as his d3boards.com icon and has been known in recent years to wear orange shorts in public -- long past the age when such a sartorial choice can be shrugged off as youthful folly -- it's not as though we're talking about a contestant who made a coldly calculating and objective choice. ;)

I want to thank you for calling me a gentleman!  Picking with my heart is a flaw I continue to live with (although I did make that pick before Bunn's injury was known).  A healthy Hope team was a bit more of a realistic pick - orange shorts or no orange shorts.

Since sac wanted DePauw, I'll graciously allow it. I'll switch mine to Wabash.  ;D

Wabash is quite a developing story.

I'm starting to wonder if they could be the 2010 version of 2006 Lawrence?  (Not that I have a personal interest, just because IWU was the one to make Lawrence 25-1! ;D)

Yeah, we knew it all along!  ;D

Especially when we were picked for 4th in the NCAC and most of us said, "Yeah, that's about right..." We knew Wes Smith would be a stud, but the supporting cast needed to come through. They have!

Well now...the NCAC all of a sudden is hot and happening. They even have a 26-20 record against out-of-conference foes. Heavens to Murgatroyd! We're no longer the OAC's whipping boy!

I live right off of Wabash.  There's a dangerous uncontrolled intersection.  If an accident happens at the intersection of Wabash and 63rd, it will be a story here in Brown Deer, WI.  ;D
