Prin stays in the hunt with a convincing 77-48 loss to Mizzou Baptist....

Unfortunately Billy you're about 3 weeks too late. But check this board next year right before the season starts (Nov 15th).

Billy,

Before the season, some of us decided who will be the last undefeated (and winless) team in D-3 land, and then we keep track of that.

As the season goes along, this board morphs into discussions of who is still undefeated, undefeated vs. D-3, winless and winless vs. D-3. Lots of love for each type of team.

in other words Billy... have you ever heard of Maine Presque Isle... probably not.... but that school has achieved cult status with readers of this board.....

But UMPI won't be mentioned here besides wistful nostalgia. They're 2-3 against D-3 teams as they march onto their non-D3 conference schedule. And I don't see a game against Unity on the schedule, either.

Well, since i can't get an "official" pick in, i'll just say "unofficially" that I don't think NYU-Poly will win a game this year and William Paterson is my undefeated pick.

Billy,
Good Choice. However, that team is already owned by PointSpecial, who I think will probably win the losers side of the survivor pool. Usually we choose a team that no one else already has dibs on. It's not a hard and fast rule but it's better if you win and have sole bragging rights than if you share the podium with 2 or 3 other guys. And it really doesn't mean much when you choose a team a third of the way into the season. ;D I'm sure a bunch of us wish we had chosen Polytechnic, now that they're still winless and our picks have gotten lucky. ;) But by all means come and join us next year. 8-)

Augsburg is downed by Gustavus Adolphus 82-80, and so I bow out of the less fun half of the contest.

smedindy

And I don't have to worry about split loyalties Saturday since Witt took care of Wooster tonight on a buzzer-beater.

Final Four baby! Macalester's next opponent is Caltech. Should the Scots lose, they'll earn the great distinction of having lost to Crown and Caltech in the same season (although Caltech looks to be much much much improved).
