Ryan Scott (Hoops Fan)

My Maritime boys are hosting Vaughn tonight - this is the one I was worried about.  If we get the L tonight, it should be smooth sailing through the end of the season.

Now, we gotta root for 'em to win at SOME point, you know.

They may have a shot against Yeshiva or at Polytecnic, according to Massey.

BTW, the Vaughn game's no longer on their schedule.

On the ladies side, our heroines from Medgar Evers are picking up a bit...  In their last two games (vs New Rochelle and Yeshiva), they broke the 20 point barrier on offense in each game, a number they had not hit in their first 6 games.... unfortunately that output still resulted in two +40 point losses.....

I was going to lodge a 'no schedule changes permitted' protest, but I note they are still playing Vaughn,  on Jan. 9.

I though I was looking pretty good with my Maine-Maritime team when they lost to Maine-Augusta last week. Yet tonight, against a Husson team that hung with WPI and Keene State, they pulled off the upset and beat the Eagles 55-51. Go figure!! Well good for them. Bad for me.

Hoops Fan may win by default. His Maritimers have had their game against SUNY-Purchase postponed last Saturday. Then the game against Vaughn, scheduled for tonight was taken off the schedule and changed to January 9th. Plus their game against Brooklyn on Dec. 8th has been postponed. Hard to win if you don't play the game.

Aha - my strategy for next season!  Find a team that due to some (not yet known) scandal will cancel their season! ;D  A record of 0-0 is still winless, right! ;)  Then I'll pick the same team for undefeated!  What a coup - one team, both titles! 8-)

If I recall, that campus was in the thick of the action during Sandy, so this may be some lingering effects. From what I read, it was electrical issues in the gym that cancelled the Purchase game.

They have a game against Yeshiva on the 6th according to their site...

Yes, I read the same thing about the electrical problem. They did recently play 2 home games though so I don't know about the problem being hurricane related, but I suppose it could be.  The Yeshiva game is on the road so I believe they'll be OK there. The postponement of the Brooklyn game is a bit strange because that was a road game at Brooklyn. I think Hoops Fan is calling the shots there. You gotta watch him like a hawk.

Both winless Principia and winless Blackburn play at Rockford (1-4) in December... if they both come out of that contest winless, there is a high likelihood we'll be looking at a classic winless matchup between the two on Jan. 5.... because that game is at Blackburn, I'd rate Prin a slight favorite in that game... to lose...

For the second year in a row Cornell has played the role of spoiler for my winless team.  Last year Millikin (1-24) beat only Cornell, 58-57.  This year Cornell has fallen to Knox.  I predict that will be Knox' only win.  I suppose I'll need to pick Cornell for winless next year :-\

Will D3hoops be covering the classic? I remember Kansas-Kansas St rivalry football game a few(?) years ago at end of year when both were 0-10 and it ended in a tie(before the tiebreaker).
