The Undefeated and the Winless

I kinda liked the CURF abbreviation, because you could just call it "Curf" in casual conversation with local D3 people, and they'd know which school you were talking about.

The irony is that, even though that school is most definitely not in Chicago, and I live in Chicago, it's tied for the closest D3 campus to my domicile. (I'm equidistant from CURF Concordia (IL) and its' crosstown rival, Dominican, as I live a little more than a mile away from each.)

That snaps an eight-game losing streak for MLC, dating back to last season. It's only the third win in the last 33 games for the Knights. It's also their first victory over a MIAC team since they beat St. Olaf five years ago today.

Last year St. John's beat MLC by 36.

Who compiled the undefeated / winless vs. D-3 list? Was there some spreadsheet involved?

SUNYIT is in the right (?) conference to leave the winless list. Lots of win opportunities abounding there.

Yes, I did that in the past... had a spreadsheet that downloaded scores from this site and generated win-loss records... no spreadsheet this year, but I'm missing it badly.. it will likely reappear next year to help here as well as maintain the d3 vs non d3 records....

Don't let hopefan kid us. He had that spreadsheet this year. The start of the season  just happened to coincide with his planned 40th anniversary vacation that Mrs. hopefan had planned for him, and he wasn't about to put his foot down and say we'll delay it until April. Those RPI guys are all alike.

The Martin Luther 76-63 win over St John's was the only game in Pool play tonight.


Bethany Lutheran giving  #5 St Thomas all they can handle at the moment as they lead the Tommies 57-56 with 8:26 left in the game. St Thomas is the only other team on either list that's in action tonight.  Could have 2 losers tonight.

Is it beyond the realm of possibility for AM to defeat Yale?

Frank, I might be the biggest Albertus fan out there.... Albertus will have a great experience playing at Yale in a historical setting, it will be fun for them to play and they will do their best to compete. However, Yale has bigger forwards and guards and are deeper. Yale wins by 18 or so.

A nursing student, no wonder you married her. I take it back. Some of you RPI guys are sly like a fox, getting someone to heal you up now that youre getting up there in Ypsi's and my territory. My wife was an elementary schoolteacher, and 40 years later she's still always correcting me.
