big game in the winless pool with Bard taking on Caltech on Saturday... Caltech's best shot this season at coming off winless list... Mazillgd will be glued to the scoreboard!!!!  I'd feel very good regarding Caltech's chances for a win, except for Bard's close loss earlier this year to Sage.. Sage .. Sage has a couple of wins this year and is probably a middle of the pack team in the SKY conf....

As fate would have it I will be at Pasadena Poly high school again today watching Williams practice before the CLU tournament this weekend.  PP is next door to Caltech.  I may have to stop by and deliver a demotivating speech to the team.

"Gentlemen, why are we here wasting a totally good holiday.  It's 64 degrees outside and we are in a gym, let's all head outside for some team building today.  How about we hike from here to the Griffith Observatory.  Stretch our legs with a nice 15 mile hike will do us well for the game tomorrow."

In a missed opportunity, Piedmont canceling the rest of their season which will guarantee a winless finish.  Story on d3hoops. Could have been the first winless winner in December I'm guessing.

This is very close to what Mr. Ypsi wanted. ;D    He had what he was looking for right in front of him and chose Martin luther instead.

Aha - my strategy for next season!  Find a team that due to some (not yet known) scandal will cancel their season! ;D  A record of 0-0 is still winless, right! ;)  Then I'll pick the same team for undefeated!  What a coup - one team, both titles! 8-)

Seriously, I hope all is well at Piedmont. Had to be something serious for them to cancel the season. I know Macalester's women's team did a few years ago because of numbers and injuries.

Piedmont had only 7 players on the roster, their press release mentions suspensions and dismissals (plural) and a possible season ending injury.  Though I don't know if those suspensions or dismissals are new or something they've been dealing with.

Mr. Ypsi

Went to the CMS website looking for a score for the pickems contest, and found this quite amusing: a story about CMS's win over Caltech is headlined 'CMS wins over a strong Caltech squad'! ::)  Shhh - don't tell Madzillagd how strong Caltech is!!

I know Cairn's not on the list after beating PSU - Abington, but they got destroyed by Lycoming today 105-27. Charles Hopkins shot 1-15 from the field and had 10 turnovers. Ouch. They had more TO's (28) than points (27).

PSU - Abington then could be a win contender for a couple of our winless squads.

I'm failing to find who PSU-A plays among the winless contenders?

Not in the pool, but in the holistic winless as a whole, which I find important and fascinating.
