Wabash Always Fights!

WOW.. Cairn wins.. HUGE news in this room!!!

Greg Sager and FCGriz eliminated from Winless contest

And the winless contest comes down to:

Blackburn   (hopefan - going for the repeat after being lat year's co-champ with Principia, along with Sac's pick of Franciscan)

Wheelock   (Smedindy)

Have to admit Blackburn has really snuck by with 2 one point losses and a 5 point loss...

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Stevenson 103   Messiah 99 in 2OT

6 undefeated teams left

I haven't actually tallied the ballots, but my impression is that posters are favoring Wheelock over Newbury in the national pickems. ;)

SgtPaul

As is befitting, Wheelock and  Newbury are going to OT.

SgtPaul

Wheelock maintains its winless status by losing in overtime to previously winless Newbury. Smedindy stays alive in the winless pool.  Both remaining teams have had close calls with victory this week.

hopefan

Well, as SgtPaul tells us the big news is that Newbury comes off the winless list, nipping Wheelock in OT... Newbury tied it at 53-53 with 1:42 remaining in regulation and neither team could score again until OT..

That reduces our winless list to two, Blackburn and Wheelock, both represented in our losers contest, Wheelock by Smedindy, Blackburn by hopefan.... Best of Luck Smed!!!

In the only other change to our lists, Simpson drops off the winless vs D3 only list,
Simpson 95  Luther 91

The winless vs D3 only list now at 5

If only for that truly awful (non-d3) Maine-Augusta team, my Maine-Maritime pick would be gold.  They've not been close and they've played some pretty bad teams so far.

Surprisingly, Maine Augusta does have two wins thus far this year.. over northern Maine CC, and over Vermont Tech..evidently competition is sparse enough in the far,far northeast that some schedules get filled with two year schools.    Vermont Tech has a handful of wins, 2 of them over NAIA-D2 Fisher, the school that may propel D3 to a winning record  over NAIA-D2 in the next month.  Fisher has beaten several New England D3 teams

Not sure where all this goes... except yes, definitely at the bottom of the college hoops chain if we're not including some of the Christian School programs....

SMED ALERT...  SMED ALERT
