Amherst and ENC go out tonight (big).  I guess, 7 wins, right?  Western Connecticut of all teams?

Yes, that is the same Western Connecticut squad who allowed PINE MANOR to score 99 points yesterday.  A win is a win, I guess.

Three conferences (CSAC, HCAC, UMAC) accounted for 9 of the 22 winless teams... meaning the other 40ish conferences had just 13 winless teams.

Mr. Ypsi

I'd be willing to be that Dec. 9 is the earliest the undefeated contest has ever ended - anyone know?

If only we had an archive of past posts or something ;)

Yeah, we're only on page 300!  I didn't expect anyone to wade thru all that, but thought magicman or somebody might keep such records (seems like somebody or other keeps every other possible record)!

That's a classic Ypsi move, sac. Chuck will ask some vaguely interesting question requiring research to answer, rather than looking it up himself and then presenting the factoid to us as a finished product, in the hope that he can get some unsuspecting sap (usually me) to do his work for him.

He has done this to me so often that I've come to realize that I'm Charlie Brown, he's Lucy, and his interesting questions requiring research are the football.

Well Charlie...I mean Greg, what's the answer? Is it a record?

Well, there are a few teams, somebody picks every year.  All you'd have to do is look back in the records to see if, for example, Amherst ever lost its first game before December 9th.  Then maybe Stevens Point.  You wouldn't have to necessarily look through the posts (other than to find the first one and see what year the pool started.

Actually, that's the case with any prof - have the grad students do all the work.  (You guys DID know you're my grad students - right? ;D)

But as I said before - I didn't expect that anyone would wade thru 300 pages for the answer.  I just hoped that someone might have already kept track of such a thing.
