Hoops fan... I keep a list too, and mine is different, because My list (incorrectly, but with my own reasons) has several schools as non NCAA... taking that into consideration, our lists agree perfectly ... EXCEPT... you missed Crown in the winless against D3...

CROWN me!!!!  and we'll agree 100%...    good work....+1

I added Crown - and took off a few teams who won tonight (Wheelock and Rivier, with Lesley leading).

Wow. Lesley up 10 with 6:30 to go and...blows that lead in exactly  1:45 seconds. Newbury wins to keep magicman alive!

Almost a bigger shock than the Packers winning! Sorry, not sorry, Lions fans.

I was shot in the arm as Lesley led Newbury 36-30 at the half. Then I caught a slug in the leg when Lesley went up by 10 at 55-45 with 13:50 left to play. The blood was really flowing from the femoral artery when Lesley was in front by 12 at 65-53, with 9:32 remaining. But then the medics arrived and stopped the bleeding, as Newbury  goes on a 23-6 run to take a 76-71 lead. I was bloodied, bruised, battered, and blasted, but live to fight another day as Newbury takes down my winless Lesley Lynx, 78-76.

It was almost Deja Vu all over again...Last year the Lynx, who were 2-23, won 1 of those games, 67-65, against Newbury on December 4th, nearly a year to the day.

I'll be more than happy to get through my own death-maze this weekend, as my winless Chatham team takes on equally winless W&J, and my undefeated Lakers of Oswego have a very tough road game at Buffalo State... sweatin' blood droplets....

If Buffalo State's leading scorer, Lovell Smith is still sitting, because of an injury he received in the first game of the season, you could be OK. If he's healthy, I think the Lakers go down on Saturday afternoon. Also in your favor is that Buff State has to tangle with a good Cortland team tonight, while Oswego will face the  Fredonia Blue Devils (most likely the 9th or 10th place team at the end of the season.) Check today's Buffalo State box score and that will tell you if Smith is going to play or not against the Lakers. Buffalo State has a lot of talent and depth this year as the rotation is 10 deep, so it wouldn't surprise me if they upset the applecart and win the SUNYAC. Lakers depth in tight games has only 7 or 8 men with double digit minutes. That may be a problem as the season wears on, especially if any injuries come into play. Several players expected to give meaningful minutes this year defected to other SUNYAC schools. 1 transferred to Oneonta and 1 transferred to Cortland.

My short stay in this contest is over  :'( . Penn State-Behrend lost to (WHO???) 2-5 La Roche 59-57 at home. My foray into basketball didn't last long.

Alas and alack, hopefan, as I stated in the bolded part of my above quote...if Lovell Smith is healthy then I think the Lakers will go down....he was healthy, as he scored 17 points, with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and a steal. Down went your Lakers 66-56. Buffalo State was up by 3 at 51-48 when Smith hit a jumper with 2:59 to go. 44 seconds later he tipped in another rebound and lead was suddenly 7 points and Oswego couldn't recover. The only consolation I can offer is my Cardinals are in first place because the Lakers lost.

He's definitely getting his legs back after sitting out for 2 weeks. To show you what kind of kid Lovelle is, after last nights game,(I've been told) he texted every player and coach and apologized, about an hour afterwards, for letting J.P. Reagan free for the game winner That was Lovelle's man). Lovelle, as did a couple of other players, thought that the game was basically over when Nico scored and didn't get his man quick enough. Class act. I'm proud of him!

Greek Tragedy and Mr. Ypsi really know their stuff!  :o

Thanks, pg - though I suspect it is more luck than 'know their stuff'! ;D  Still, of 8 teams left in the contests, Greek and I have 4 of them.  A shame none of them face each other.  Not suprising that Augie and Whitworth don't play, but Earlham and Domincan are certainly close enough together to have a meeting. ;)
