My winless Badgers from Johnson State slipped to defeat by 24 against Castleton State in one of those tight under the collar games  because you have no idea how bad Castleton might be.  Johnson State has a game Saturday with Green Mountain who actually look pretty competent at basketball (everything is relative) this year at 6-2. 

If the Badgers can survive that they and I will be alive until their next game on Jan 5 surely a loss to Colby-Sawyer.  Then its wait for the titanic Jan 8 match-up with likely 0-10 Maine-Farmington.

My Lesley Lynx dropped out by winning an 83-75 matchup with Mount Ida on December 10th. Never even knew they won. Saw they lost on Saturday and thought I was safe until after the holidays. Went to see how long it would be until they played again and there was this big fat W staring me in the face. I figured they might win a game in their next few contests but didn't think they would beat a 5-3 Mount Ida team.

Greek, if we can summon up wins for Johnson St. and Martin Luther, we could have what I would assume would be an unprecedented dual fight to the finish!  6 teams remaining in the two contests, and we've got 4 of 'em.

Augie's gonna have a much tougher row to hoe with the CCIW (where Sager 'guarantees' that no one goes undefeated ) than Whitworth with the NWC, but I have faith in Earlham's ability to lose forever.  (In fact, is it too early to claim Earlham for next season? )
