Mr. Ypsi

Not sure what is going on (Caltech/Pomona-Pitzer livestats frozen for 15 minutes), but since Caltech was up 13 w/ 57 seconds left I think it is safe to declare them the winner.  For the D3hoops.com era, that gives them a record six wins overall, and four wins in the SCIAC - they are currently in FIRST place!  But the Beavers have totally blown away their status as our favorite lovable losers, and perennial first pick for the winless contest! 8-)

Nebraska Wesleyan is out first "permanent" member of the lists this year.  They defeated Westminster (MO) today; it is their last scheduled d3 game.  Unless they somehow get consideration from the Pool C committee, it is the last d3 game they'll play.

The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

I find it amazing they are even eligible for the D3 tourney. They play in an NAIA conference and played only 4 D3 games.

They get the waiver, they're eligible.  This is the last year we have to worry, though. They join the Iowa Conference next year.

Mr. Ypsi

Is there anyone in the world who can honestly say they would have predicted that half of the undefeated teams at this point of the season would be Lancaster Bible and Benedictine?? :o

I thought Curry had a chance to come off the board today, but they lost by 17! to WNE.  They have home games against Salve Regina and WNE upcoming, but outside of those two, they might be stuck.

I was so close to being still in this. My undefeated team lost once by 2 and hasn't lost since and the winless team won once and hasn't won since.  So close but yet so far.

I feel your pain, pg04.  My winless picks have been "big losers" in four of the past five years:

2012: Millikin: 1-24
2013: Knox: 1-22
2014: Knox:  1-22
2016: Martin Luther: 1-16 (so far)

Not once have I prevailed in the winless contest.  One more thing I lost was the right to claim my alma mater in this year's undefeated pool.  Mr. Ypsi picked Augustana (who finished second in this year's undefeated pool) at the stroke of midnight, beating me by an hour, when the contest entry started this year.  My hope now is no more losing  ;D

Wow! I think this shows that you are really good at picking but unlucky to not win yet.
