Greek Tragedy

#5085
If its eligible, I'll switch my winless to New Rochelle.

I'll stick with my original pick of Washington & Jefferson.

First time in 112 years they have ever had a Men's basketball team.  They play in a non D3 conference. Do they have dual affiliation?  Maybe hopefan knows...he does all the D3 vs non D3 stuff.

Greek Tragedy

They added men's basketball like St. Elizabeth did and I was told they are eligible.  I know New Rochelle is a d3 independent. But Nebraska Wesleyan was d3 eligible last year.

I'm not going to put up a fight over it. No big deal. If they aren't eligible, I will stick with my original pick.

Yes.. they are real... The Women's team has been a D3 independent... that means the men get right in.. just like St. Elizabeth... but just like St. Elizabeth, they play a couple of weak non D teams that will enhance their shot at a win.....
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

So Greek, it looks like they're eligible. As hopefan states "like St. Elizabeth, they play a couple of weak non D3 teams that will enhance their shot at a win". They also play a certain weak D3 team that may enhance their shot at a win...none other than hopefan's winless St. Elizabeth  pick.  ;D  On November 22nd in New Rochelle the Blue Angels will host the Eagles of St. Elizabeth. One of you guys will make a very early exit. :D

we'll see which coach was the better recruiter. LOL

Ralph Turner

Undefeated.  Hardin-Simmons looks like the best choice from this part of the country.

Trinity TX might pick up a loss at CWRU on the first weekend.

I was surprised when you did so as you have never been known to flip flop back and forth.

Winless---Curry

Owners of the current longest losing streak in D3, but I don't have great confidence that will continue much longer with what looks to be a more win friendly schedule.  If they make it to Christmas still in contention I'll be happy, then its the gauntlet of Maine-Presque Isle and Maine-Maritime that could spell doom for either them or me.

Winfull---Wooster

Kind of banking on Wooster pulling off a tough win at Marietta, otherwise this might be a short lived pick.  All of the other Midwestern teams I would have chosen have pretty difficult schedules full of landmines.  This is dart throwing really.
