Thanks, man!

I do have some solace. My Rivier pick is the second worst in D-3 according to Massey, only ahead of Franciscan.

Man, I think we could all enroll at Unity and help their team out! Who's with me?

Down goes the #1 team in the country and my pick in the Undefeated Pool as Amherst falls at Springfield College by a 71-70 final score.

And then there were two.

What a crazy result... gotta love D3hoops....

Swarthmore has a pretty tough home tourney this weekend.  Whitman has Wooster on the 18th then Marietta in Daytona later that week.

We'll see.  I doubt we get to January, though.

The rest of our groups remain the same, after Amherst and Denison fall off the undefeated list, leaving us with 12 undefeated teams.  There are still 19 winless teams, No undefeated against D3 only teams, and 5 winless against D3 only teams.

Swathmore's tourney brings in Rowan (6-4), Averett (2-6) and Roanoke (2-4).  It is surprising they chose to open vs Rowan, which would seem to be the best of the 3 opponents.  Interesting... Rowan knows how to win tight games.. 6 wins, each by 5 points or less!!!

Neither Averett nor Roanoke is a bad team, though - anyone will have their hands full.  I'm glad they get Rowan - even if it makes my pick harder to realize.

I've been rolling the dice on these pools for a long time, and have always come up short.  I had to eventually hit one right.   ;)

I look forward to receiving my winner's share.  ;D

It seems like it came earlier this year, but that may just be recency attacking my noggin.

Someone (probably magicman or hopefan) can correct me, but I don't think the contest has ever ended in December before.

Whitman has a couple of tough games coming up in the next week (Wooster and Marietta).  It will be interesting to see long they survive.
