Clarks Summit by 7 at the half over Cairn. Could they drop off the winless against D3 list?

Nope. Clarks Summit loses. Final Cairn 85-81.

Cairn recovers for the win.   Clarks Summit still with us.

Rivier got creamed by a 4-win Emmanuel.  They may have permanent residency.

For the contest, I really wish we could discount the Unity / Rivier game   ;D

Clarks Summit has 2 games left. I see them finishing winless. I don't think think they're going to beat Gwynedd(#3 in CSAC) or Rosemont(#4) on the road. Marantha has 1 game left against Ill. Tech on the road. What are they're chances?

Plus are there any D3 teams that will be in the NCCAA playoffs they could beat?(If of course they get invited)  ;D

Nonexistent. Illinois Tech is good. The Scarlet Hawks will turn their game against the Sabercats into an ivory hunt.

I know that the two teams played a close game up in Wisconsin at the end of January before IIT eventually prevailed by seven, but lightning is not going to strike twice in favor of MBBC.

No. They're in NCCAA D2, and that's the level that really doesn't have any midwestern D3 outfits other than Maranatha Baptist.

The good news if you're Maranatha Baptist is that you always gets invited to the NCCAA D2 playoffs. And the Sabercats always win their opening game in the NCCAA D2 regional, or at least that's been the case over the past ten seasons. Sometimes they'll even win a couple of NCCAA D2 tourney games before they inevitably lose (it's almost always Grace Bible, a school based in Grand Rapids that is legitimately solid even by D3 standards, and which has been the occasional bete noire of Calvin, that beats the Sabercats). But, while you don't have to worry about Maranatha Baptist winning in the postseason, you can pretty much count out the Sabercats in terms of facing a D3 team in that tourney.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, Clarks Summit goes down to defeat today. Finishing the season at 1-24. They finished winless against D3 competition this year.

Will they be the only one left?

Rosemont was so mean - they let the Defenders stay around all game, then won by 5 or 7 or something.  Very mean.

Whitman falls off the undefeated list as they lose to Babson 91-85 in the Final Four. The Blues were up by as many as 25 in the first half.

Ill show my cards and seek a ruling....  If I go with my heart over my head by taking Augustana for undefeated...will their game against Illinois count?  For the D-I Illini it counts as a game (I believe), but for the D-III team it's an exhibition.  Would an exhibition loss eliminate me from the undefeated pool?

No. But I opened a new thread for the survivor pool so those who don't participate in such fantasy leagues won't get irritated. And you can't "officially" pick until November 1.
