There's going to be plenty of chances for teams to get a 1 in the win column the next few days.
1/6 CCNY 72% chance vs Medgar Evers
1/7 Bard 96% chance @ Pratt
1/8 Finlandia 78% chance @ Gogebic CC
1/8 PSU-Berks 43% chance @ Valley Forge

Pratt would not count as a D3 game, at least on my writings, as they don't play a full D3 schedule this year. A win over them would "advance" Bard to the winless vs D3 only group.
Gogebic CC being a 2 year school, would not count as an actual game for Finlandia and would not count as anything. This was confirmed last year in the survivor contest when I brought it up... I had Finlandia last year. Didn't matter, they lost to Gogebic anyway. I am pretty sure that D3 views games vs CCs and Canadian schools that way too.

What is the best record a provisional team has ever had? St Thomas (TX) has a shot to run the table... using Massey's predictions it's a 28.3% chance to finish the regular season unbeaten.

Conversely, doesn't that mean Massey indicates a 71.7% chance they won't finish unbeaten?
Yes, but that's a pretty high percentage with 13 games left to play. Better than 1 in 4 chance they win another 13 in a row. If every game was a coinflip they'd only have a 0.012% chance.
Randolph-Macon has 21.7% of finishing the regular season unbeaten based on Massey's predictions.
Swarthmore 9.1%
Wittenberg 8.1%
Colby 1.3%
Middlebury 0.6%

Good point. I wasn't thinking of it from the standpoint of how tough it is to go undefeated.

As to Randolph-Macon, that's my alma mater. I've watched almost all their games online. Given what they lost to graduation last season I've been surprised at how well they are doing.

Is Lesley going to have 'the perfect storm' - the likes not seen in a while? Both men and women are 0-fer and the women seem to be down to six players. Ugh...

CCNY men's and women's are also both 0-11, yet another perfect storm.

CCNY was once the finest in college basketball, being the only team to win the NCAA and NIT in the same year. I saw many of their stars play in the Eastern League after college.

I'd imagine if Lesley and CCNY both finished with double perfect records, and a year end doubleheader was set up, it would have tremendous appeal to some of us D3hoops nitwits.... including me!!!   I'm going to try to at least view a part of one of each of the teams' games on the internet to get some insight...

and... no changes to or lists yesterday... No. 1 Swarthmore gets another tight win....

WAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day we used to devise a fantasy final four with the four worst teams facing off - losers advancing - to determine the worst team in the country.  If I recall, Bard was heavily involved.

BIG chance for CCNY today, though, hosting Medgar Evers.

Agree Ryan.  Having CCNY in the survivor's pool, I am a bit concerned that today's game could be their high water mark of this season. :-\

I'll certainly check it out this evening.   It should be a competitive event. ::)

There was a Bard player who worked out on school breaks at my fitness center; didn't have the heart to mention to him that his team was my choice to go winless in our contest.

No changes on 1/6/2020     CCNY loses in OT to Medgar Evers.....I looked, no video of game, only live stats....

The CCNY women did win their first, 60-50 against 1-8 Medgar Evers.

RMC loses and, I couldn't see the score on the grainy video, but Finlandia did manage to lose to that Community College.

Looking at the archive of the video, it appears the final was 76-68.
