Mr. Ypsi,

York declined their game tonight on the chance they might lose.  York plans to avoid any and all games until I win the Survivor Pool.  Go Spartans!

(Is it too late to grab Delaware Valley for the 0-for-the-season pool?)

... a program that has made a living out of being the most respectable member of Pool B, which is a lot like being the only cast member of Blue Collar TV who can identify which one is the salad fork.

:D :D :D Gotta love it, Gregory.

Pool B is a little better with the LMC thing this year.  They might have moved up to MADTV.  There should actually be four or five decent squads competing for the three spots.

The Lake Michigan Conference still gets a Pool A bid.  Dominican switched from the NIIC into the LMC, so LMC's status doesn't change.  The NIIC loses their AQ because they don't have enough schools (6 and needs 7, right?) to earn a Pool A bid.

I'm guessing since Dominican left a conference that had a AQ and went to a conference that has an AQ, their status doesn't change, so if they win the LMC, they would be eligible to get a Pool A bid as the conference winner.  I believe in most sports, they were a provisional member last year.

But, I guess if I take your post the right way, you meant that the teams from the NIIC will boost the Pool B participants.

I note Misericordia beat Gwynedd last night , falling off our winless list

Current count

30 undefeated, 33  winless

A large number of games for both undefeated and winless teams tonight.

Undefeated teams playing include Hamilton, Witt, CMU, Plymouth, Middlebury, Amherst, and Occidental.

Winless looking to win their way off the list tonite include all 3 CUNY teams (Lehman, Hunter, JJ) Ithaca, D'Youville, Swarthmore, Del Valley, Principia, E Naz, Dan Webster, and Texas Dallas.

I also note that my data base has ignored the newest D3 conference the UMAC.  We can't keep them off our lists... while they contribute no undefeated teams, they swell our winless by 3 ...   Minnesota Morris, Northland, and St. Scholastica - sorry for the oversite.
On a serious note, I recall Minnesota Morris was hit by the tragedy several weeks ago of one of their players being killed in a freak accident... let's root for Morris to get off our list soon..   we ALL respect those guys for playing thru a hard time.

hopefan, IMHO, UT-Dallas is the best winless team in the Country.  They lost at Wabash to IWU by 13 and to Alma by 2, at D-1 UT-Arlington by 10, and at home to 2005 ASC-West Tri-champs McMurry and HSU.

They might get hot at the end of the season and make the ASC post-season tourney.

Guard Martin Salinas hit 20 against UT-Arlington and 40 against McMurry.

My new favorite winless team is D'Youville, gotta love a team named after a cadilliac, you know the Sedan D'Youville and the Coupe D'Youville.

hopefan---Hope plays Trinity Christian tonight as well.

Your moniker suggests you should have known this.  :D

Sac - I was about to be embarrassed, until I looked at the D3hoops scoreboard and note that the game is so far missing from today's schedule - which is what I was looking at when I wrote about the games today... What is it with my favorite team and problems with the D3hoops scoreboard??????

ps will admit I shoulda known anyway!!!!

All of our undefeated stay that way with the exception of Occidental, who loses to NAIA team Azusa Pacific.  Undefeated number down to 29.

All of our winless who played last night lost, albeit several of them very close. Our winless number stays at 36

Are you going to track the alternative categories of "undefeated in D3" and "winless in D3" as well this year, Hopefan? Because, if you're mulling it over, Occidental is a perfect case in point as to why these are useful. Azusa Pacific is the defending national runner-up in NAIA-1 and is currently the #1 team in that division. There are a bunch of D1 teams that wouldn't be able to beat the Cougars. It seems a shame to fully penalize Oxy for the loss -- or, conversely, to reward a team like Caltech for slipping in a win against a non-D3 nonentity such as Life Pacific or Cooper Union -- which is why I like your alternative categories from last season.
