Greek Tragedy

First game started already?  Cool.  I'm having issues with my computer (i'm at the library right now).  But, all the picks are still posted, so I'll work on it over the weekend, if I get my computer back!  >:(  Otherwise, like I said, it's all posted...

And yes, it's closed now.  good luck to everyone.

Wow I am from the Villa Julie-York (Pa) area.  Since when did VJC have a good basketball team.  I am done, good luck to the rest of y'all. York(Pa) I am displeased.

hopefan

well, by my count there are 24 contest entrants, and 4 did not make it through the first Fridat/Saturday of the season

digs (Occidental),  hoopnews (Salem St), wlcalum83 (UW Whitewater), and pridesportsbballguy (York Pa) are eliminated.
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

PrideSportBBallGuy

I just hope York(Pa) wins the rest of the games finishing with national title.  (Ok thats wishful thinking, because the chances of that are very unlikely.)

According to a Miss College poster on the ASC board,

Wesley MS (NCCAA-2) 84, at Miss College 82.  This was Wesley MS' 9th game to Miss College's opener.

Oh, I'll hold my nose and say Wittenberg.

Smed, it is reverse psychology!  Pick 'em and they will lose!

You are out of the contest.  They lost a ball game, hopefully to Wabash! ;)

Mission accomplished! ;)  I just didn't know it would occur so quickly! :-\

McMurry and Mississippi College have been the 2 most successful teams in the ASC.  They meet in Abilene on November 30th.

Mr. Ypsi

Wow!  5 teams (and 7 posters) already down!

If I had bothered to check the schedule (rather than just be a homer), I would never have picked IWU.  Graduate 7 of your top 8 players, and second game AT the #4 ranked team in the country - are you kidding me?!  Even I'm not that crazy if I had checked!

Sure glad I didn't!  They've got a couple of traditionally tough NAIA opponents lurking, but early indications are they are both down.  They've got Hanover (their 'bane' the last few years), but they appear to be WAY down.  Unless the fact that they still have to wear nametags so their teammates will recognize them becomes a problem (a bad joke since they have plenty of experience together on JV!), I don't see any MAJOR threats before late January.

I'm starting to like my mindless homer pick! ;D

... Yeah Ypsi, but MY team scored over 120 pts in the first game, so  :P   ;D

True, but IWU didn't start the season against "Little Sisters of the Blind" then "Little Sisters of the Lame"! ;D :P

(According to Q, despite their good record last year, our first victory may have been a bit tainted, but the second one is a keeper!)

Tru dat, tru dat...  but CoW DID still score 120 points!

... Now, I know that Wooster is pronounced "wuh-ster"... but when I saw that it was called the College of Wooster (or COW), it made me want to just say WOOOOO! (kind of like a cow with a speech impediment!)
