Guys - this is too good  -  was checking out the Massey ratings of our winless and came across the fact that the lowest rated of all colleges is Northern Maine Tech  (Unity College's only win)   No 1497 of 1497-   location of Northern Maine Tech  -  hold on  -  Presque Isle, Maine

When we're all old and retired, we need to take a road trip and check these schools out !!!!

Maine Presque Isle- rated no 1  -  in the city of Presque Isle

poor north tech even lost to New Brunswick Bible Institue
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

Hey, those Canadian Christians can play rough!

BTW - The team Lincoln creamed 201-78 - OSU - Marion - is now 3-10 on the season. They can score some points...well...against their own level.

I might be interested but I'm not sure I can get five days off in a row to make the trip from Connecticut. :)

I guess that makes Coleman, Texas, a proverbial crossroads of the world compared to Presque Isle, ME!!! ;)

The whole town of Presque Isle shuts down when these two matchup.

Although an outsider wouldn't notice any difference. :D

Gregory Sager

I know a fellow NPU graduate who has a cabin in New Sweden, Maine, an outpost of civilization in the same Maine county (Aroostook) as Presque Isle but even more remote. He says that in New Sweden they refer to Presque Isle (pop. 10,000) as "the city".

My favorite fact about Presque Isle is that there is no island named Presque anywhere in the vicinity of the town. The town's name is a rendering of the French phrase for "almost an island", since there's a large loop in the Aroostook River that forms a peninsula. Thing is, the river-loop peninsula is on the opposite bank of the Aroostook from town.

Those wacky Maine people!

I couldn't figure it out, either. That's why I went with "Maine people".

Didn't read the book, but saw the movie. I think he was played by the same guy who played Mainer G. Krebs.

Mainers?
Mainans?
Mainanites?
Of all of the Mainanite Universities, that must be the most eastern.

Eastern Mainanite University!
