Many thanks, Greg. We geezers often are confused by the intricacies and nuances of the the King's English. Of course, a geezer's wife, especially if she's a graduate of St. Officious, er, um, rather, that is, St. Olaf* ... would never have this problem (not that she'd admit it if she did).  ;)

* Ann's an Ole, I went to Trinity (Texas). It's a running family joke. She's from South Dakota, I'm a native Texan ... it often makes for some interesting canversation, don't you know?

I was going to mention that I applied to St. Olaf when I was a senior in high school, based mostly upon the fact that the brochure I got from the school seemed to indicate that the campus was loaded with pretty girls, but I learned my lesson in the "D3 vs. D1/D2/NAIA/NCCAA" room. ;)

What, you turned down St. Olaf? Mercy! Those Norwegian blondes can't be beat, even those who [shudder! gag!] actually like lutefisk and sild ....

Norwegian, Swedish ... six of one, half-dozen of the other.

I dated a Norwegian blonde (a real one, not a Norwegian-American one) at North Park. She told me that she'd never met anyone who liked lutefisk ... not even old people. Then again, she wasn't a big fan of Norwegian food in general. The Windy City really rubbed off on her; she wanted to open up a Chicago-style pizza joint in her hometown someday. Unfortunately, since the large island south of Bergen that she calls home has fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, it probably wouldn't be a wise investment of her resources.

our winless vs d3 list falls by one as LaSierra eliminates our second member in 2 nights!!!  LaSierra gave Whitman their first D3 win 2 nights ago, and did the same for Laverne last night  -  LaSierra had beaten LaVerne in December.

Alma and Pennst Burks retain their positions in our polls with "easy" losses
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

And as mentioned, La Verne beat La Sierra to drop off the list.

Looking at the LaVerne website, it appears that the score posted here on D3hoops is actually the WOMEN'S score not the MEN'S.  The men, again according to the website, play La Sierra tonight.

So be it.  The list has been amended.

I think it's going to be Whitworth.  They were my second choice out of the gate.

I'd just like to point out that although my choice is long gone, they have yet to lose to a d3 opponent, so I (along with Ralph and MC Boy) am claiming a small moral victory.

Penn St Burks and Caltech both get crushed to maintain their rankings on the winless list.   Laverne loses to LaSierra in the real game, and stays on the WAD3 list.
Limited loser activity tonite, with only No 5 ranked Wad3 Huntingdon scheduled, but many of our teams play tomorrow   -   with the Big game of the year happening with Bard @ Caltech  -  hopefully we'll get on site live updates right here from OxyBob and an interview with the loser!!!!
