No. 23 NYU has a reputation for starting the season strong against relatively weak opponents and then fading in UAA play.  The Violets didn't get off to a good start tonight, losing to Carnegie Mellon 68-64 in Pittsburgh.  NYU trailed 40-30 at the break.

Down to two.

Huntingdon maintains its spot on the WAD3 list with a 9 point loss to Dallas;  Minnesota Morris wins against non NCAAD3 North Central Minn, so stays on the list.

Today is the BIG GAME    7:30 Pacific, 9:30 Central, and late night for you easterners  :   BARD @ CALTECH   -   Oxybob or any other West Coast people, any info will be devoured by loser lovers all over the country!!!!!
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

My "last Hall of Famer standing" pin arrived today by FedEx.

looks nice. ;) ;D

Down to Whitworth and Amherst, Old School and Sac.

Amherst has their rivalry game at Williams today, after a midweek game at Wesleyan its back to back tough road games vs 7-3 Tufts and 9-0 Bates next weekend.

Whitworth has a game today with George Fox 6-5 and host 10-1 Puget Sound next Saturday.

man tough week for the Lord Jeffs, I'll be thrilled if we make it to next Saturday still tied.

With extra Gatorade on hand at game site for a prospective soaking, no doubt (especially if Cal Tech garners the win).  (ba dumm bumm). :) ;) :D

Guilford Quakers move to 10-0 with an 80-73 road win over Randolph-Macon.  Virginia Wesleyan tomorrow to end the road trip.  Center Ben Strong with 40 and the Quakers needed all of them as Guilford trailed 73-64 and then scored the last 16 points of the game.  Whew!

With today's carnage in the top 25, maybe the Beavers get some votes next week!  Woo-hoo, go Beavers!  I wish I could have been there.... :'( :) 8) ;D :)

Oh, the Massey ratings of the weaklings out in the East will take a HUGE hit now!

SERIOUSLY  -  heartiest Congrats to Caltech  for the win  -  we have fun on these pages with the winless, but I'm sure we all were rooting for this win!!!!

And Oxybob  -  thanks to you and PAT (front Page!!!) for the coverage.

I'd imagine that this puts my "local", Principia, as the new number 1  -  rankings will be out later today or tomorrow.

I'd imagine right now Eastern Nazarene, still on our winless list, is just licking their chops, chompin' at the bit etc etc

Their next opponent, Tuesday night  ......   drum roll for effect......  Anna Maria, who lost to BARD

The Guilford Quakers fall for the first time this year, 75-55, on the road at Virginia Wesleyan.  Quakers now 10-1, 4-1 and VWC improves to 11-2, 6-0.

In our winless catagory, of course the big news is Caltech's big win over Bard  -  in our elite group, it's one and done, so Caltech drops from being the No 1 losing team to off the losing radar.

But, of equal interest, another team drops out of the winless group  -  Concordia Moorhead, who had been rated no 5 of 7, beats Hamline decisively, and falls out of the ratings.

New ratings
5) Eastern Nazarene 0-9  lost to a pretty decent Conn college team by only 11, should fall off our list by beating Anna Maria on Tuesday

4) Thoma More  0-13  lost by 10 to Westminster on Saturday   May lose again in midweek to Bethany, but has a real shot at first win next Saturday vs Thiel

3) Albertus Magnus  0-8  Hasn't played in a month, has Emerson then a beatable Danny Webster on Saturday

2) Penn St Berks  0-10  lost by 10 to Gallaudet,  has Chestnut Hill in Midweek, then a beatable Dyouville on Saturday

1)  and the new no 1   Principia 0-7   Has a rough week ahead with MacMurray and Fontbonne, then a young Maryville team on Saturday.

Note  :   Per the above, we may have only Principia standing at the end of the week   -  each of theother 4 teams has excellent chance at victory this week.

Mr. Ypsi

People were using a service last year that ran chains of wins to show that lowly X was actually better than national champ Y, but I can't find the source.  Now that CatTech has a win and UCLA has a loss, does such a chain exist? ;D
