ENC plays Newbury tonight.  This is their only winnable game outside of the rematch with Anna Maria this Thursday.  If ENC doesn't have a win by Friday, they may go 0 for the season.

Found it on D'Youville's site. I think PSU - Berks was so stunned...they forgot to post.

Reading, PA (1/13/07)- The men's basketball team lost 69-66 at Penn St.-Berks, despite a game-high 19 points and 14 rebounds from Tom Kowalski (Cheektowaga, NY/JFK). Shawn Satarian (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Catholic) added 14 points for the Spartans (1-13, 1-4).

Neither school has put up the box score yet, but an unconfirmed eyewitness reports that ENC gave up a 17 point halftime lead in losing to Newbury 53-58.

HUGE winless game tonight

Wad3 Lincoln Christian @ Winless Principia.

Prin's best opportunity for a win to date

Lincoln has several 1 or 2 point losses in the SLIAC against SLIAC leaders, but still haven't yet crested the peak to a D3 win.

Along with the Principia/Lincoln Christian game,

ENC gets Anna Maria at home this time.  ENC is coming off the embarrassing 17 point halftime lead they blew on Tuesday, which was followed by an old school midnight practice when the team got back to campus.  Anna Maria's coach has equally given up on the season, playing all 18 guys on the roster in their last game, no one scored more than 8 points and no one played more than 18 minutes.  They lost by 40.

Green Mountain is playing Lyndon State.  I know Lyndon is like a first year provisional, but it could be a winnable game for the crazy environmentalists.

Lyndon State 71, Green Mountain 62
Anna Maria 66, Eastern Nazarene 62
Principia 87, Lincoln Christian 53

(The latter score is not posted on the D3hoops.com scoreboard or on the websites of Principia or LCC. I got it from the SLIAC room.)

Assuming the Prin score is correct, East Naz becomes the Sole survivor of our winless group for the 2006-07 year, and Lincoln Christian vaults in the ratings of our WAD3 group, but will not be able to justify surpassing No 1 Green Mountain!

That makes me feel very badly for Eastern Nazarene. It must be a terrible burden to be the only winless team in all of D3.

I wonder how CCIW Chat regular Joe Hakes feels about his school's archrival being the only team in all of D3 that hasn't won a game this year? Seems as though this could be an interesting spiritual tug-of-war between compassion and schadenfreude. :D

I'm not sure how he feels, but let me tell you, I am one proud alum.
