Surprisingly with no mention - in one of the big WAD3 games of the year, barely non survivor and friend to this room Maine Presque Isle beats Green Mountain in OT 77-75!!!   Green Mountain still has Castleton, Morrisville and Mitchell on the schedule, each could be a possibility.

Also Crown FINISHES on the WAD3 list, unless all teams make the UMAC tourney and they score an upset for the ages win, losing to Northland by +20.  Crown has only non D3 NWMinn remaining on their schedule.
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

One of my favorites among the Posting Up boards...

Ya know, if you guys are bored now that the Amherst/ENU combo has come thru, you could always take a look at the women's side...whole bunch o' winless folks there...

Ah, yes the feng shui is sort of working! We need to get Green Mountain a win!

Amherst goes down and ENC picks up the improbably victory thanks to FTs down the stretch.

Since this has kind of become a lovable losers board, I've got a question.  Does anyone keep stats on biggest negative turnover margin while still losing a game?  Last night Colby-Sawyer committed just 8 turnovers to 25 by the University of New England and still lost the game.  That's a -17 and still a loss.

I don't think so, but if you can't shoot better than 33 percent from the floor and get outrebounded by 14, you're lucky to have stayed in the game. If the U of NE had taken care of the ball they would have won by 20.

I've just never seen a discrepancy like that in a loss.

That sounds like many nights in a 'System' based game...

Hoops Fan - try this one:

My point exactly, it takes a team that almost never holds the ball for more than 8 seconds (thus making a turnover very unlikely) to duplicate that feat.

Colby Sawyer did jack up a lot of shots...so maybe they were gunning and pressing. I don't know their normal modus operandi.

They don't really have one.  They lost a whole class of seniors last year and few of the guys left have any experience.  They used to be known for a tight defense and a quick, efficient offense.  Now they kind of run a system type offense, but not on purpose.  They just let guys blow by them and try to score a bunch to catch up.  Very ugly ball.

Mr. Ypsi

Lake Erie lost Wednesday night.  There are now no undefeateds of any variety.
