Must be Pagh's dislocating patella again...  Wheaton's running game is not very good in the first half... sub par at best.

Decent telecast and play by play by Albion crew, compared to Wheaton's in the past.

Titan Q

At the half...

Olivet 9
IWU 6

After several huge special teams mistakes vs Coe last week, the Titans continue to shoot themselves in the foot.  A bad punt snap from IWU's 25 early led to a safety, and the resulting field position after the free kick led to Olivet's only score.  And after IWU's TD in the final seconds of the 1st Half (a Ladd to Ciesel pass), a bad snap led to a missed extra point.  The Titans have also been hurt by two fumbles in key spots -- one on Olivet's 1 yard line.

The positive is that the Titans trailed 9-0 in the 1st Quarter and have climbed back in the game.  IWU's defense has played very well in this game so far...and they played very well @ Coe as well.  If the Titans can solve their special teams problems (at least quit killing themselves) and settle down just a little bit on offense, which I think they will in time, they'll have a chance to be OK.  There is actually a lot of talent on this IWU team.

Thanks Q for the update and analysis. I wonder who is coaching the special teams. repeated special teams mistakes are often indicative of coaching problems.

I thought going into this year the IWU defense would be pretty good given who they have coming back.

17pt deficit with 1 1/2 quarters remaining does not bode well for Augie.

4 yard TD run by Albion QB.  Wheaton 21 - Albion 7.

Key play: Wheaton DE Kuenzle had Albion QB all but sacked for 10+ yard loss, but QB fought it off and threw scrambling pass for 36 yards.

There was also a questionable late hit on the sideline against Wheaton - could have gone either way.
