Not to rehash a discussion from over a week ago but quite honestly I'd say the Augie coaching staff did play a significant role in the loss to Wheaton with some questionable play calling.  1st and Goal at the 9 with under a minute... and you call 4 straight passes?

I assume you are counting the spiked ball as a pass? 8)

A spiked ball wasn't too dissimilar to some of the other passes...

Can you quit referring to the 80's as "classic"?  Those of us that grew up in that era hate to be thought of as "Classics".

Well, I have tried to keep out of it this year.  Nobody believed me when I have stated over and over that the coaching staff for Augie is inept.

The game this past weekend only proved my point.  From the play calling - which pretty much told the team that the coachs do not believe that the team can make the big plays, to Coach Barnes temper-tantrum on the sidelines where he threw his clip board (way to show sportsmanship in front of all those recruits coach!!!!) it just goes to show that the guiding light of coach barnes has burned out.  After all, you cannot keep harking back to the 80's for your inspiration forever.

Now to make matters worse, seems coach thinks the way to motivate his players is to piss ALL of them off.  He refused to show game flim, stating there was nothing to see, and he is now blaming the players for the loss to North Central!!  No wonder the players are ready to revolt!!
Not sure if they are going to show up for the North Park game!!!!  Not sure I could blame them if they didn't.

Get out of your comfort zone coach!!!!  Start acting like a head coach.  We all know you played defense in college, but you are the HEAD coach now, not a defensive coordinator.  Do not blame the players until you blame yourself and your coaching staff.  You are, after all, supposed to be the LEADER!!!

"Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy, but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril."

Last year, weren't you consistently ripping Augie for not opening up the offense and throwing the ball?  Now they do with little success and you call for the coach's head?  I think you need to make up your mind, dude.

I wouldn't quite call what they did "opening up the offense and throwing the ball".  It wasn't pretty!
