Ron Burgundy: It's quite pungent.
Brian Fantana: Oh yeah.
Ron Burgundy: It's a formidable scent... It stings the nostrils. In a good way.
Brian Fantana: Yep.
Ron Burgundy: Brian, I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
[cheesy grin]
Ron Burgundy: That doesn't make sense.
Brian Fantana: Well... Let's go see if we can make this little kitty purr.

Since movie quotes have returned, I thought I would add one of my favorites!!!

"Which one do you like better; Empire or Jedi?"

"Empire"

"Blasphemy"

Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets."

This is the one the Aurora University community has been waiting for since the end of the 2007 school year.

Drama like this can only be found on stage.

A victory over Wesleyan, one of the top NCAA Division III programs in the country, would be a huge stepping stone for AU and everyone associated with the program - from the players to the training staff - recognize its importance.

It's possible this writer is employing some degree of hyperbole.

Woo hoo! Maybe the manager ought to sit me down on the last day of the season so that I can show that 300 to the GM next year when it's time to talk contract.

Nope. Last time I wrote a story for the Aurora Beacon they paid me in Jiffy Lube coupons.

Naperville Community Television is running a segment called the Redzone spotlighting the North Central College football team. They interview players and coaches, and also show highlights from practice and the previous weeks game.

I'm not even supposed to be here today.

And Empire is oh so much better than return of the Jedi for exactly those reasons.

They're in Spanish. They probably won't take them in Mount Prospect. And Wheeling doesn't have any Jiffy Lubes.

I have some friends that work at the Mt. Prospect Jiffy Lube and it is where I take my car!

Looks like we will have more seasonal weather for this weekend's games.  I think the closest game is going to be the Albion/Millikin game and I think the real question is can Millikin's offense get it going?  IMO, this is going to be a low scoring game i.e. 14-10 or 17-14.

Good luck to all.

Mr. Ypsi

Yeah, unlike most weeks on pickems, where I wish I could only bet a '1' on several games, I would have been willing to go the full '5' on every game except Millikin/Albion. ;)

Query:

Which North Central logo looks the best?

1.  The Cardinal Head

2.  The NC letters

Taulk amongst yourselves....

I am partial to the Cardinal Head logo.
