14 yard TD pass to Pokorny.  28-7 Wheaton.  After a shaky first offensive play, it has been all Wheaton.

196 yards total offense to 51 for Wabash.  Most importantly, Wheaton offense has kept Hudson off the field.

2 big plays by Wabash (15 yard pass, 23 yard run) puts ball at Wheaton 18.  Come on d... hold em.

North Central opens with a 67 yd drive for a TD.

7-0 NCC.

Wenger apparently has a knee injury, but is playing. Delancey (NCC starting RT) was supposedly injured and out for the season (according to WONC crew), but is playing with a knee brace.

Wabash has an impressive 63 yard drive for a TD to make it 28-14 Wheaton.  After a 4-12 start, Hudson was 3 for 3 on the drive, with a majority of the damage through the air.

41 seconds left in the first half.  Would have been nice to hold Wabash to 3 on the last drive.

Franklin drove quickly, but NCC got a big sack on 2nd and goal from the 6. Franklin settles for a FG.

Half time in Indiana.  Wheaton leads 28-14.  Very good half overall for Wheaton with just a few costly mistakes.  O and D line are controlling the game to this point.

Total offense: Wheaton 201, Wabash 114

Rushing: Wheaton 91, Wabash 27 (23 on one play)
               Gingg 10 for 67 yards
Passing: Norris 10-13 for 114, 2 TD's, 1 INT
               Hudson 7-15 for 87, 1 TD

Wheaton's lines on both sides of the ball played a great half.

If Wabash cannot find Hudson time in the 2nd half.... it will be a long one.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

TD North Central - Fanthorpe to Hlavac.

Hlavac has 6TD receptions in 5 quarters vs. Franklin (4TDs in last year's game, 2 today)

North Central showing some different looks, even a little Wildcat formation today.

Cardinals - 14
Grizzlies - 3

6:17 left in the 1st quarter.

Not to doubt Wheaton, but I have been pleasantly surprised.  I thought the line play might even be in favor of Wabash going into the game.  Key for Wheaton has been running the ball effectively.  Wheaton needs to continue this in the 2nd half to keep Hudson off the field.  Wabash can score quickly with the ball in Hudson's hands.

Wheaton is using a lot a curl (comeback) routes a great compliment to the slant and post big plays.  It keeps the defense honest.  I think Wheaton had such great success with the slants and posts they forgot about everything else.  That is until the NCC game.   Who played bend but not break with great success.   I really like the changes Wheaton has made the past few games.  They are making the defense defend the whole field.

Franklin kept their offense on the field on 4th and 7 and quick kicked, Rupp kicked it into the end zone.

North Central will have it, 1st and 10 from their own 20.
