Is Justin Wilson that Cajun cooking guy that was on PBS for years?

Mugsy,
Any idea if Wheaton is going to go for an offensive coordinator from the outside or move someone up from within?  Traditionally I have viewed Swider as a defensive guy so I wouldn't imagine he would try offense.

I don't think that anyone can make an argument that JR Bishop got the Wheaton program moving the the right direction again when he was hired.  The rise to national recognition began because of his efforts and hard work.  He will be missed.

I strongly doubt Swider will take over the offense - not that he couldn't, but that isn't his area of expertise.  I don't have any inside knowledge on who might take over, but I'd expect they would explore the inside options first.  An obvious candidate would be Keith Bishop... he has coached QB's since his graduation (closing in on 20 years).  He obviously has experience with the offense and connection to the one who has been responsible for the offense for the past 24 years (J.R.).  Question is whether or not he'll be able to devote the time to it as he works fulltime and has a family.

Thanks Mugsy, didn't even think of that one.  Duh.  Whatever happens should be interesting since it has been a while since a major  offensive coordinator change occured at Wheaton because even when Swider assumed the Head Coaching position, Bishop remained on as coordinator.

J.R. is, and always has been a class act!!  He will be sorely missed by Wheaton and everyone else in the conference.  I always made a point of shaking his hand after a game because I really thought a lot of him as a coach and a person.

i think a more obvious choice for O coordinatro is tim hardy. former qb and currently a full time fb coach at wheaton. i would be surprised if it wasn't him. keith bishop would be a good choice except for the limitations mugsy already mentioned.

pat has posted his new playoff projections on the front page at the top for all who are interested. he has whitewater coming in as a #2 seed, augie hosting mt st joe and ncc travelling to mt union in 1st round action. i still question whether the committee would move such a high seed into another bracket but pat knows a lot more than me and it is based on geography quite a bit. whitewater is only 91 miles from ncc. mut monmouth is also close and central not totally out of the question. i just think the committee in the past seems to want to keep the integrity of the brackets intact. i.e. the top 4 seeds and uses the bottom four seeds to even things out. this is NOT stated anywhere in their criteria, just my opinion based on observations. Pat has a stronger case for whitewater because geography is clearly stated as a priority and ww is an easy move. but, for similar reasons you could move monmouth and keep the top half of the west stacked, much like the north has been for several years prior.

Cardinal fans,

If your team does wind up At Mt. Union, I strongly recommend that you go.  Mt. Is first class all the way.  From the fans to players, everyone there is great. The players and fans are very confident, but never cocky and welcome you in with open arms.  You will have a great time there.  I suggest that you tailgate, it's like a bear game with all the tailgating there.
HEY NORM, I LOST YOUR HAT! GO REDMEN!!!

Usee and Mugsy,
I know that the new O coordinator for Wheaton is going to be Coach Hardy.  Personally I think he is perfect for the position!

Woah, I didn't know that JR was leaving.  Not only did I go to Wheaton College, but I also attended Lawrence Central HS in Indianapolis (where JR coached a couple years before my time..but while my sister was in school there..she also attended Wheaton).

If memory serves, the field there was 'Bishop Field'.  It was, actually, one heck of a high school..

There is no doubt that a few of the Cardinal Fans will make the trip to MU if that ends up being the case.  It isnt a short drive however.  Map looks like you are almost to Pittsburgh.  Hopefully Wheaton takes care of business this weekend and the Cards play at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.   Does MU have a similar stadium and field to NC?

Ah... thanks Usee.  Didn't even think of Tim Hardy.  You are right.  The fact that he is a full-time coach does make him a likely candidate.... and according to Wheaty... he is the next O-coordinator.  Thanks for the knowledge.

I agree with redman04, Mt. Union is a great place to see a playoff game.  I've only been once in 95, but everything was great outside of the entire second half of the game.  Also, if the NCC/Mt. Union match up does happen, feel free to go to the OAC board.  They are a first class bunch over there, but make sure to do your research or they will make you eat your words!

Usee,mugsy, wheaty,
I do concur that Hardy will be the next offensive co-ordinator.  I remeber reading about it somewhere on wheaton site.
