I was looking at QOW index. If Augie beats Wheaton (over .667 winning percentage) and MUC beats their opponent (under .333 winning percentage) Augie would likely have a better QOW than MUC. If so, any chance they move ahead of MUC in the seeding?

Is Justin Wilson that Cajun cooking guy that was on PBS for years?

Sure was (he died a few years back).  When my wife and I visited New Orleans a year and a half ago, I was happy to see that they still feature his cooking promenently.  His best recipes were ones that called for "Two cup a wine.  One for da food ana one for da cook!"

Interesting stat:

The biggest lead against the Augie this year was 7 pts in the Elmhurst game when Elmhurst received the opening kick. That is some tremendous defense to be able to keep your team in the game even if your offense starts out slow. I don't see Wheaton being able to win by double digits this weekend if at all.

The one thing that Wheaton has that may give Augie some trouble is the big bruising RB.   I know they shut Wallick down, but Black is pretty much in the same league as Wallick.  Wheaton did a good job against Carthage, who I think has an outstanding defense.  It should be a great game.  I am actually debating taking that game in instead of the NCC/NP game.

Cardalum:

You could always go to the NCC/NPU game watch NCC go up by 3-4 td's in the first half and make the drive over to Wheaton to see the 2nd half.  Seeing that the Augie/Wheaton game of the past couple of seasons is determined in the last minute/seconds of the game you would be there in plenty of time to catch what should be a great game.  The only thing that would make it better is if there would be real football weather (rain/snow) for a mid November game.

I'm hoping for my heart's sake that Whetaon can win this thing early.  Seriously, Wheaton does not have the ability to move the ball down the field  like they used to.  If Chupp steps up, they'll be able to put up some points, but I doubt we can win in the last couple of minutes like we used to.  Maybe we should just kick a 40 yd FG every time we get close?!

Augie fans might be interested to see that someone on OAC board is already projecting Augie in the finals against Linfield.

Really interesting, different look on the D3 playoffs if the 32 teams were seeded nationally as opposed to regionally.  Go to D3Football.com home page and link is at top of page under Daily Dose.

Gothunder-As long as augie's defense isn't any better than wheaton's scout team and we will be set. ;)

Go Thunder:

You keep giving us daily updates that Wheaton's Off/Def is looking good but you are very vague about what they are doing that is going so well.  I'm just curious if they are doing anything differently to get prepared or whatnot. I'm not trying to sound critical, but any team can look good against the scout team.

As for the poster on the OAC board that is predicting an Augie, Linfield final I think is pretty unlikely. If Augie wouldn't have lost their first game, then it would have a better chance. To have to go on the road in the 2nd Rd on would be an awefully tough task. Granted not a lot of teams are familiar with the Wing-T, I just don't think Augie is capable enough to make that deep of a run in the playoffs.

Usee,

Did that bad Boy George impersonation in the OAC room cost you your positive karma? :D
