No way is UWW being challenged in tailgating and putting the cold ones down.
We've already started the pre-game warmups, start counting.

Somehow I will find something about NCC to seriously dislike.  Do you have a mascot?  I can probably find reasons to dislike a guy walking around in a bird suit... oh, scratch that.

I've been to Perkins Stadium and I know you guys can tailgate. Having been were the Griz_Backer hails from I can also say what awesome tailgaters they are also (heavy on the liquid refreshments). I do worry that NCC might suffer from a tailgate gap (from Kubric's Dr. Strangelove). My hope is that we can prevail on the field so no one will notice our tailgate gap. I do think this will be a great game no matter which way it goes and the winner should be well prepared for a shot at the national championship. Go Cards!

Hey everybody, I am a first time poster but a long time reader of these boards. I played for NCC a couple years ago and I feel like I have to say something about this years offense for NCC. While their stats may not appear as good as they have in years past nationlally, their offense is still one of the best in school history. This offense has had the most yards in a season with just over 5,000; most rushing yards in a season; 6th most passing yards; 2nd most total points; and is in the top 5 in rushing TDs, passing TDs, Field Goals and Total TDs.

Remember that this NCC team this year has still only played 12 games, as many games as the 06, 07 and 08 teams. What I feel this offense does lack though is a big time playmaker that can just take over a game. In previous years, it was either Fanthorpe, Kniss, Spencer, Studemann, Sulo, etc. This offense is much more geared towards chugging down the field, draining the clock and being much more patient than in years past. Do I think that they can beat UW-W? Anything is possible, but it will be difficult. So, while the NCAA stats may not show it, this is still a good offense.

You don't win 12 in a row without a workable offense.  Even if you have the Ravens D from a few years back - hey, they had Trent Dilfer .... ooooooo, wait, not a great example ...

Looks to me like the NC offense is very solid.  UWW better take them seriously.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Just a factor for all to consider.  The weather report calls for rain, mixed with snow on Saturday.  Gotta agree with the guys from the D-3.com podcast. That will make the run game more important.

Cardfan86- welcome to the board (another NCC backer!). Just when we need another Millikin, NPU or Elmhurst guy for a little balance. Oh well, the more the merrier. :)

UW-W even takes LaCrosse seriously. I'm pretty certain they'll be taking the Cardinals seriously.   ;D

I just got off the phone with Dr. Solomen. She officially declared that neither team has ever played in common weather, so it was hard to decide, but weather edge is officially given to North Central based on strength of the weather played in by NCC's opponents.

That is because we HATE LaCrosse and we have confirmed that there is not one thing to dislike about NCC.  I hope we don't phone it in.................... ;)

Welcome to the boards Cardfan86, always good to hear from former players as they seem to have a different perspective. I might have played against you in 2005 or 2006. I was the left tackle for Carthage #66 those years.

Having watched a boat load of play-off football over the last 15 years, it's always been more about the wind, than snow or rain.  With almost everyone having turf these days, footing/etc...is less of an issue.
