Well, after reading the board for a long time, I figured now is as good as ever to join in. I think the world could always use some more green tinted glasses, especially to compliment all of the new red that is posting during this holiday season.

I am hoping for a great game in Naperville this Saturday and as much as I like the CCIW and root for the conference to have post-season success, I am leaning towards the Warhawks on Saturday. Having played against both teams recently, I don't know if NCC can put together a perfect, turnover-less and avoidable penatly-less 60 minutes (and then some if needed) to beat UWW.

As for my resume (which is obviously important),   ;) - 12 years of playing and a Bachelor's degree from the finest instiution in Bloomington is all I have  ;D

Wow.  A number of new posters recently.  AWESOME!  About time for some fresh perspective.

Welcome aboard.  Your credentials allow you free reign here, except for disagreeing with anyone with more that 1000 posts.   ;D  Just kidding...

We now have another IWU fan with which to gauge reality, as opposed to what Mr. Ypsi gives us.   :P

Always.A.Titan, as to Mugsy's crack about posts, you and I together have more posts than Mugsy and USee together, so I guess they have to defer to US! ;D

Mugsy, I've gotten a lot more realistic recently.  This year the Titans won the 7 I expected them to, and lost the 3 I feared (though I had strong hope against Augie).

I think Mr. Ypsi brings up a great point. That is some very sound and grounded logic.  If you add in Titan Q, this may be the best trio since LeBron brought his talents to South Beach ;D ;D ;D

Yes you have.  Coincidence that you won the CCIW Pick-ems this year?  I think not.   ;)

Though not my only flaw with picking games this year, I continue to pick Wheaton in all games regardless if my head is saying otherwise.

One might argue it is I that is not based completely in reality?  Oh, great... CardinalAlum or FormerCard will be posting within seconds.  Blood in water, folks.  Sharks will be here any minute.  Feeding frenzy on Mugsy!

I remember when the only Cardinal fans posting on here were Cardalum and myself.  The rest of Cardinal Nation are bandwagon fans!  :)

Washdup, I'd have to believe we started about the same time  ;D

I have looked into this and believe I can settle this little dispute quite exactly:

Washdup started on this board approximately June 17, 2003 at 10.56am and
RobertGoulet started on here on or about November 5th, 2004 at 9:32pm

so almost a 1.25 yr spread between you two. Capiche?

First time poster--please be gentle with me.

I had the (mis)fortune of facing Coach Reade's teams four times in my playing days at NCC (and contributed to the unbeaten streak!).  Two things we always knew going in.  One, they rarely, if ever, made a mistake (a sign of great coaching).  By the same token, they jumped all  over your mistakes.

And, second, when you played them you better put on every pad that you owned.

It is difficult to compare the greatness of coaches and players from different eras, but Coach Reade will always be in the conversation.

Welcome!!  You can never have enough Cardinals!   ;D

Seriously?   :-\

Never bite the hand of the one who feeds you, and Never criticize the one runs/posts/tabulates the Pick Em.  It is a job that most would not like...  You are doing Great Mugsy!  Keep up the good work!   Every week your picks are better and better  :)

If I weren't fairly confident (you can never be too sure) that Washdup is indeed of the male persuasion I would say that's definitely possible.....as everyone knows the ladies love athe mustachio'd crooner that is Robert Gouleeeet.
