Congrats to NCC on a great season and a hard fought game.  I enjoyed meeting a couple of you and appreciate the class act, especially #40's Dad.

It was great to meet you, Mr. Wenger. Your son played a great game! Man he ATTACKS!!  ;)

any shot that #40 gets drafted or picked up by an NFL team?

There have been close to a dozen teams that have come to scout him. I'd say it's extremely likely.

I just wanted to say thank you to the NCC Seniors that played their last college game today.  You are a special group and had some great years.   Thank you Matt Wenger!  It has been a pleasure to watch one of the best football players I have seen in my 25ish years around the program.  Congrats to Steve Hlavac on the school records you now possess.  A special mention to Coach Ponx!  You did an amazing job in your first year running the defense!   Time to reload!  Can't wait to see Usee's early look at 2011.  The CCIW is one of the best conferences in the country!   Hopefully we take the next step forward in the playoffs in the coming years!

Great game and great year Cardinals! You were very entertaining all year long. Good luck to the seniors as you move on to your careers, whatever they might be. Being a Card and dedicating yourselves to the program and being successful will help you with whatever you do. Matt Wenger, we all hope we can continue to watch you play! I'll say it again....... YOU ARE REDICULOUS"! Thanks!!

NCC showed today that they are approaching the realm of the top 2. The question is can they keep reloading the program with Wenger and a few other key people graduating. Reloading and staying in the top part of the CCIW is one thing, reloading to stay within striking distance of the top 2 programs in the country is another.

goulet - I believe they will continue to reload. Every year we ask that question and every year for the past several years they answer that question by not only reloading, but getting that talent deeper into the roster. It will be very hard to replace a player like Wenger. He is very special. But, we said the same about Lenny Radtke. The only thing now is that we will see what kind of linebackers we will develop without Wienke's coaching. Coach Wienke developed some GREAT linebackers!

Turnovers are like drugs, THEY KILL. This and what has already been posted says it all for NCC yesterday!

As for NCC and Coach Thorne and his coaching Staff I say "Thanks". 4+ years ago I sat in his office and listen to him tell my son their goals as a team for the next 4 years. I'm happy to say everyone one was kept except one which we came real close to this year. Yes there were some tears on the field but even more surprising was after yesterday's game I didn't hear the regret I thought I would hear but encouragement from the Seniors to the underclassmen reminding them that it's now their duty to continue on with the tradition that was maintained by their group as was told to my son after his Freshman year. Now that's special!

Continued success to NCC and keep recruiting to re-load, not re-build. I remember when NCC was everybody's hope for homecoming weekend and so do the other CCIW schools who will do their best to knock you down.

Congrats to UWW and bring the Trophy home the the North Division!

PS: A very special "Thanks" to my Son and all the players from NCC for the last 4 years of watching you play football. You made coming to the field every Saturday in the fall a very special event.

Sorry anyone who plays a season like NCC has to lose, but you made UWW work another week. My best to your seniors and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Congrats on your season and good luck in the future.  It was a interesting game and I thought your guys represented themselves, NCC and the CCIW well.  You were gracious hosts as well.  Everyone North Central fan I interacted with was pleasant.  I especially want to thank the young woman working in the concession stand for offering the free hot dogs when I was purchasing a Pepsi after the game and also especially for pointing out that $200 had dropped out of my wallet and I was about to walk away leaving it laying on the counter.

Good luck to Wenger.  I hope he gets a shot at the NFL.  He was a beast and seemed to be everywhere on the field.

No, I've been married 33 years.  My wife and I had plans to go out to dinner and a show when I got home from Naperville so I was carrying more cash than she usually allows me to.  :D

I'm sure glad the girl noticed it because I know that I would not have until it was too late.

Wow...looks like the recession didn't apply to BW's family  ;D

To all NCC fans, I had a great time yesterday...I really liked how the stadium was setup, where the fans have to enter through the tunnel...just like the big boys in DI and the NFL  :).

Most of the NCC fans seemed gracious to us as we were leaving the building, very few seemed bitter...a lot of class in Naperville, i really enjoyed my time down there. sametime next year?  ;)

Congrats to NCC and their fans.  Class program, terrific facilities and a tough opponent.  Your boys played hard and scared the crap out of me.  #40 is certainly the real deal.  Enjoyed meeting his parents.  Good luck to him in the future.  Had a great time in Naperville.  The best of luck next season.  Don't expect the Cardinals to miss a beat.
