Hope opens up with North Park and that should be an exciting game.  I am looking forward to that.  Then, of course, we travel to Milikin, then to Concordia, IL, the latter of which will be a "trip down memory lane" for me as I remember from my own Hope days when we played Concordia.

Thereafter, will be the next installment of the Hope/Illinois Wesleyan "bash" so that will be interesting as well.  I need for us to win so I can "get one" back against Mr. Ypsi!  I do hope that we can get together for that game, Mr. Ypsi - we can discuss that more in the near future in regards to trying to make arrangements.

Anyway, I hope everyone's summer is going well so far.  It is difficult to believe that July is here already.  I also hope everyone has an enjoyable 4th of July, whatever you plan to do for that day.

A possible road trip to see the IWU-Hope game as the Cardinals have a bye on Sept. 22.

As of today, unfortunately no. I think they might have done more Spain fundraising than locker room. Maybe it will get done next year, but from all the literature that was sent out and stuffed into the game programs, I thought new locker rooms were the #1 priority for the 2012 season. Who knows, they may still get it done before opening day, but I haven't heard anything concrete to date. I was really hoping they would be done this summer :(:(:(

I take it that you're going to attend that game in Holland. Perhaps we'll get a chance to meet, as I'm NPU's football play-by-play webcaster.

formerd3db is one of Hope's team doctors, so I can pretty well guarantee he'll be there (though 'hope'fully primarily as a spectator)!

former and newcardfan, the IWU @ Hope game is on my calendar, so perhaps I can see one of you again, and meet the other. ;)

Gregory, newcard and Mr. Ypsi:

1) Tthat would be great if we could all meet for a visit at the IWU/Hope game in Holland for newcard and Mr. Ypsi.

2) That would also be great Gregory if we could meet at the NPU/Hope game.  I knew that you were NPU's p-b-p announcer, although wasn't sure if you covered the away games as well.  Is your last year's radio partner jaybird going to assist you again this year?

At any rate, let's all 4 put these dates tentatively on our calenders.  I will look forward to those for sure.  Mr. Ypsi and I have done that a couple of times in the past 3-4 years and it is always an enjoyable time (except for when his IWU team has beaten us! ::) ;D ;))  and even moreso last year when he cooked some awesome brats for us!

Yes, I, too, wish all of you an enjoyable 4th of July today in whatever you are doing.  Talk to you all later.

Best,

Last season we did all games, home and away, as audio only. This year we're going to do audio only on the road and both audio and video for home games. Jaybird wasn't my partner last season; former NPU assistant coach Rob Dubicz handled the color commentating duties. I'm not sure yet if he'll be doing it again this coming season, or if I'll have a new color guy.

I must have misunderstood.  Nonetheless, I'll look for you then at the Hope opener.  Obviously, we can touch base before then, closer to the game.
