Here is the Kenosha News article on Coach Rucks:

Mark, looks like Kenosha News is now a subscription site.  For those of us without access can you provide some of the details?  (Damn all of these newspapers that finally realized that providing their stuff for free is a bad business model! :))

Hope all is well with Coach Rucks.

Complaining about karma usually gets you hit even more!  I don't give it much thought on what mine is.  If you are fine with what you post, who cares if you get dinged a couple of times.  The CCIW basketball board is a great place to get dinged, btw!   ;D

I try to throw Karma to (almost) everybody as long as you are not a moron like Outhouse or a cheerleader that just puts on the skirt and throws Kool-aid  all over, with no substantial feedback to offer.

It's a shame what happened to the kids from IWU, a fully healthy IWU squad coming in to NCC this weekend would have made for a lot better talk on the board this week. I thought NCC would win by 2+ TDs as it is, how does this change the line? 3+ TDs now? Unfortunate.
You win! You always do!

A fully loaded IWU squad, I would have said NC by 10-14 points.  Now, I think NC wins this game by 17 or more.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I just don't see NC losing any CCIW contests and making it at least 2 rounds in the NCAA's.

Hopefully you're correct on both accounts! I'd like to see them get 2 wins in the playoffs this year, at least.

Congrats to Scottie and David once again: this is Scottie's 3rd award and David's 2nd this season!

http://www.elmhurstbluejays.com/news/2012/10/22/FB_1022123133.aspx

A little perspective on the historic career and season the senior tailback is putting together...

Through 37 games in his career, Scottie has amassed an amazing 4,378 yards and 43 touchdowns on the ground (3 more TD's receiving).

Williams continues to pile up accolades and set records.  This season, he moved into sole possession of every major rushing record the College has ever known.  Already an Academic All-American in the classroom, #20 has a legitimate shot at 1st team All-American on the football field.  With the help of his veteran O-Line, Scottie has amassed 1,222 yards and 15 tuddies through 7 games on 189 carries - both marks are good for 2nd Nationally (only behind Mt. St. Joe's Clay) - pretty incredible.  Also to be noted, he is the Nation's active leading career rusher.

A little more than halfway through the conference season - Scottie is averaging 160 yards and 2 Tds per game on the ground in CCIW play.  The conference's 42 year old single season rushing record, set by Curt Whipple in Kenosha back when Nixon was in office, is an incredible mark of 1,249 yards - Scottie would need to average 200/game over the last 3 to get there (a tall order, but he could likely at least match his 2011 effort).  Last year's 1,152 in CCIW play was good for 5th all time.

As far as his place in CCIW lore...he has already established himself as one of the most prolific runners in conference history.  With 3 regular season games left on the schedule this season, the senior has rolled up 2,997 yards and 25 tuddies in 25 conference games.  The cat at the top of the list in CCIW history is sitting on 3,524 yards - Jim Jordat from Carthage in the early 1970s (Scottie sitting in 5th all-time right now).

He's been the engine that drives the EC football program this year, and for the past three years - incredible player, amazing student, tremendous young man.

It's a Great Day to be a Jay!

Amazing numbers, amazing career.  Made all the more impressive by the quality of individual from what it sounds like.

To give context for those "youngsters", leading CCIW rusher of all time Jim Jodat enjoyed a 7 year NFL career (predominantly with the Rams and Seahawks).

As a fan of an opposing team, I can't wait for his career to finish.  Of course now we have to deal with his brother!   :o

Along with Burris, Luna, Sulo, Chorney, etc.  Scotty is in that group of elite runners.

The big question is next year for Elmhurst. Is 2012 just a 1-hit wonder with lady luck on their side?  Or, is this a building block year?  The verdit remains to be seen.  7+ wins looks like will happen which is a step up in the right direction. Haven't seen 7 or more wins since the Bruce Hoffmann days.

At least 2 wins, but hoping for more, however, lets take care of the regular season first.
