D O.C.

For those of you who will just pretend it's Superstorm Sandy and drop everything over Thanksgiving weekend and jump on Southwest to Portland I will see that a hot turkey sandwich is available for you and yours.
But who's counting ahead that far? Except Southwest.

Has anyone on here seen Coe play or know anything about them?

The Bluejays have two chances to win their playoff game, slim and none.
Hey Coo Coo, stay off our boards and stop talking smack after you beat a whole bunch of girl scout troops and one legged midgets. You would be lucky to be .500 in the CCIW.
Love Me Some Negative Karma!

Well I'll agree with part of this statement,  but I think Coe would do very well, along with Central and Wartburg in the CCIW, and not just football.

Classy. Last I noticed the boards are open to everyone.

I would say the line is Coe by 10 pts, but given those odds, I would say let's go (EC) and prove the odds makers wrong.  Still Elmhurst has as good a shot as anybody vs. Coe.  Now St. Thomas, Linfield, or a Purple school... that might be a different story.

St. Thomas is a Purple school.  ;D

Any actual reasonable thought for your prediction or are you just trying to stir it up?

BTW, I'll take the other side of that bet Mr. Cocoapuffs. Not that I am much of a betting man, but I'll take slim and above for as much as you can afford losing.  :o ;D

USee - That is hilarious! I can't stop laughing!  +k

I'm so happy 'cause today I found my friends. They're in my head.  I'm so ugly, that's okay, 'cause so are you!

This year's Jays remind me a lot of Thorne's NC squads that first broke the playoff ribbon.  There is a chance Elmhurst can continue to build and create something like the NC juggernaut.  It starts Saturday with their first playoff game.

I wouldn't worry about hosting not hosting or traveling.  The fact is you are IN and in the playoffs, anything/everything can happen.  Bring your A game or go home.  Glad to see at least 2 teams get in and was really hoping to see a 3rd.

Congrats are in order to all (3) teams, their coaches/players, and schools themselves.

jaybird - I can remember how you feel now. I have been watching Cardinal football since just before the Thorne era. I can still remember the feeling when we started beating the Augies, the Wheatons and the Wesleyans after getting spanked by them. It IS a special feeling. Hoepfully, the Jays can hang in there (not hang too well though) ;D. It is not easy. Remember Carthage had that one special year. It will take a lot of work to not only maintain the level the team has acheived this year, but to improve on it. It appears that Lester and the coaching staff has it moving in the right direction. And, as other posters have noted, the school has made the commitment too. Good luck Jays! Congrats to the three CCIW champs and all the seniors.

Yep!

I haven't seen Coe play this year. I have been busy playing tight head prop for the Cedar Rapids Headhunters rugby team. I grew up in Clarendon Hills. Went to college with Bill Lech (York Dukes head coach last I knew).
