Definitely disappointed and disgusted watching yet another woulda, coulda, shoulda game. It's the end of the line for me as a Cardinal parent, just a couple of bowl games and then off to track season. To the Cardinal seniors-thanks for four years of enjoyment. You guys left it all on the field today. Will surely miss watching all of you next season, you've given your teammates some great leadership and left it all on the field. I know this isn't how you wanted your careers to end, but you can be proud of everything you've accomplished. Best of luck to all of you as you move on. You've given this Cardinal parent some great memories.  :)

Cardinals know what it takes. They'll be back.

Yeah, don't give away the damn ball!!  In 9 wins, they had 15 TOs; in 3 losses, they had 17 TOs!  Obviously opponents' defenses had something to say about that, but I thought about half of today's TOs were giveaways rather than takeaways.  Solve that and they will join the elite of d3 (they had many more total yards than Linfield today); don't solve it and they will always be on thin ice against good teams.

Still, sincere congratulations to the Cards and the Jays - I'd sure rather get to the second round of the playoffs than go from 6-0 to 6-4! :P
Couldn't agree more! >:(

Cardinal returnees:

Remember how this feels and work hard to come back stronger next year.

---

Cardinal seniors:

Today didn't go as planned, but it has been a great four years.

- 39-8 overall record
- 26-2 conference record
- Four conference championships
- Two year-end top-ten rankings
- Three Bell victories to their one
- Three consecutive years with playoff victories

Thank you for continuing to build the program and making it stronger.   Best of luck in whatever the future may hold for you.

Congratulations to the Cards and Jays.  They both had good seasons and I'm sure they will both be ready to have a big say in the CCIW next year.

Ditto all that.  Although it didn't turn out as planned as has been mentioned, a liftetime of memories are what really counts.

Nothing to be ashamed about today for NCC....They made the Cats play four quarters...Linfield has had their share of turnovers and know what it's like....I'm definitely impressed by the Cardinal team.  Glad this one is over for the Cats.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Props to NCC.  Your boys played their butts off all day.  Your RB is something special.  Safe travels home.

Didn't get done what they set out to do. In the end that's all that matters. Close is not good enough.

Thank you for sending your son our way.  Very proud to have him as a Cardinal!  Really frustrated with our offensive gameplan right now.  They can't blame this one on the defense as in years past.

Also, a big thumbs up to Elmhurst as well.  Elmhurst played a heck of a game and took UST to the limit, well done.

Thank-you and except for the failure to get to Salem the experience has been great. It sure will be strange see someone else wearing his # next season. Yes, that offensive "game plan" was surely offensive. So hard to watch, knowing we could have done so much more. Still thankful for the opportunity to watch him play four more years (two more games left).

Thanks for your contributions to this board. Your son will be remembered as one of the best LBs in the NCC program and he was a tremendous leader. NCC will reload and another leader will step into his place, but only because of the example he set. Best of luck in his track season. Good luck to your own track team this year. And do your best to keep your "lesser" half in line.  ;)

Hope to see you guys back in the tournament next year.  I know that during the week some of the boys on the board took shots on us for not being stat savy etc.  I will leave you with one stat to chew on for the post season.  Linfield will return 20 of 22 of this years starters, and in addition will bring back 2 5th year Sr medical red shirt All American prospects.  One our DT, Tyler Steele and one our TB, Josh Hill .

Sorry I did not get to meet any of you.

:D  You can always drive through Salem on your way back to Portland.

Congrats to NCC on your fine season. Making it to the second round of the playoffs is a huge accomplishment, and your boys got to make trips to two different parts of the country. Yesterday's game was exciting, and that running back of yours is a load.
Good luck to you next year.

Was that before or after you chugged out of the Blue Jug?  ::)
