This year's recruiting class at NCC is certainly a wide ranging group with members from Wisconsin, Tennessee, Florida, Colorado, Nebraska, Texas, and California.
They may even be encroaching on Wheaton targets as 3 of the kids attended Christian schools in FL and CO.   ;)

It would have been nice if player positions would have been included with the list of names.
NC has a great FCA program and the leader even takes students to church with him on Sunday, so plenty of opportunities for worship if a player is wanting to do that. As far as for not listing high school positions is that a player may play somewhere else in college.

And some info about said player's HS career. It's tough to get work done when you have to Google each player and read up about them. That's a lot of research :)

Not to mention viewing their highlight videos on youtube.  :D

Bluejays in Greece and Italy...

What an awesome experience!

That is an amazing experience. I am fortunate enough in my profession that I get to travel the world. However, never had that opportunity back in my hay day to play football overseas. Again, what an amazing experience. These young men should be able to use the experience traveling overseas for job opportunities and use the playing experience for the upcoming season in a very tough CCIW.

Did anyone else watch Nik Walenda walk across the Grand Canyon? There were a few times I thought he might not make it.  i know he's a Walenda and he's been walking the tight erope since he was two, but no harness or safety net 1500 ft. in the air over an unstable atmosphere was crazy.Even he admitted it was much harder than he anticipated.

Here's a list of NCC newcomers.

Do any challenge for playing time this year?

The ones that interest me most are Kanis (DB/WR, Downers North), Bolger (C, Barrington, by way of Air Force Academy), Funk (6'5" WR, Bloomington), Brannick (QB, Freeport Aquin), Medved (RB, Triad), Pattat (RB/LB Byron), Segobiano (LB, Bloomington Central Catholic).

Also interesting to see more players from CO coming in (there were a few last year as well), as well as a couple from TX. NCC extending their reach.

I believe that Augie had about 10 freshmen from Colorado last year, although I do not know how many of them are returning this fall. I guess you take kids from wherever they're from if they want to come, but I didn't think that Colorado was a that much of a hotbed for high school football compared to other states; perhaps that is not the case. Someone in the know can enlighten. (Maybe AU has an assistant coach with a connection to the Centennial State?)

Augustana (it's AC, incidentally, not AU) also had five Coloradans on the baseball team last year.

I think with their medical school it has become Augustana University.   Right?

Gregory Sager

Ha! Good one, Iz, but it may be lost on some of the football-room-only readers. (A few years ago, Augustana picked up a highly-sought-after basketball recruit who said that one of the things that was appealing about Augie was the school's medical program. We think that he meant pre-med rather than medical, but the CCIW basketball room regulars weren't going to let that get in the way of taking a few light-hearted jabs at both Augie and the basketball player in question.)

Didn't that kid end up leaving AC?

No. In fact, the Facebook page of Augustana's Department of Communications seems to indicate that he was preparing to graduate from Augie this past May. He did quit the Augie basketball team in the middle of his junior year, however.

This link was posted on the d3football twitter. Looks like Carthage is getting new unis. http://athleteswag.lockerdome.com/media/108522025#media/photos/108522025

Guys. Two things.

First thing: Tyler Dicken re-tweeted a photo of new NCC uni's. Seems to indicate that he's back on the team. Can you confirm?

Second thing: I can't wait to watch Tyler Dicken throw the rock. When can we get all riled up about that? Now? Too soon? Let me know. I can come back in August, if you want.

first thing: he's back on the team.second thing:the quarterback job is not his alone. he will share the duties with stanek, unless one of them wins the job when camp starts. why would you get all riled up about that anyway?
