Scott Pethel from the University of Buffalo has accepted the Head Coaching Job at North Park.  He is on campus today accepting the job and talking to the assistants to see if any are going to be retained or not.  Has a D I background but did coach at Adrian College back in the 80's.

Yes Go Bears!  I am very worried about tomorrow's game.  I know their defense will be strong and keep the Panthers down... It's the offense and Grossman that worries me.  So far the "new class" is 0 for 2  with Simms and Manning getting torn to shreds.
I know we discussed this right after the New Year but I am glad to see NPU finally decide on Pethel.  He has his work cut out for him

Wow the Bears let the faithful down once again. Their defense, who was strong all year, let us down big time. Grossman had 2 or 3 good drive but other than that I thought he looked like a "deer in headlights". It was just sad because we all saw it coming. Now the Bears wont make the playoffs until 2010. That seems to be the trend. They make the playoffs 1 year then they take about a five year break. The Bears made the playoffs in 1991 then 1995 then 2001 and now 2005. The Bears havent had 2 playoff years in a row since 85-86 season. It just hurts, im hurt. I thought that this team was better than the 2001 team. Well there is reason to say "there is always next year" we might as well say "there is always 2010"

Did the Bears have a secondary yesterday??  Tillman was beat on almost every play.  He's lucky Steve Smith didn't get 1,000 yds against him!  Pathetic!
Overall, the Bears exceeded what I thought they would accomplish this year.  Urlacher best LB in the NFL.
Steelers and Panthers in Super Bowl in 3 weeks  and Jerome wins it in his hometown.

if you would have told me the bears were going to score 21 points i would have told you that they won the game, handily.

i would have given you that answer 10 times out of 10.

RobertGoulet-- Agreed.  The entire season it was the offense sputtering with the defense superb.  Unfortunately, I can't understand why but for the Carolina game the defense well, 1 part of it ( secondary) didn't come to play and the offense was sturdy.  Go figure, that's why every dog has his day and like the movie "Any given Sunday".
