Re: Devin, I have been flummoxed for three years that the Vikings did not send Devin on a fly or post 35+ yards downfield at least three times per game.

We've had this conversation before, Mark. Childress went downfield all the time, definitely more than three times per game.

Quote from: markerickson on June 28, 2017, 11:20:11 PMUse Childress in the same manner that the Vikes used Moss during his early years.  If the Chicago Vikes use Childress in the manner I envision he is league MVP, which will polish his rough diamond into another NFL look.

Devin Childress isn't playing next year, Mark. His career is over. That's what the previous conversation was about.

This is how you leave a CCIW school early to turn pro (yes, this is the wrong kind of football, but it's still cool for the conference):

No argument USee and I too, believe it will be a 2-horse race at the top with NC & Wheaton the frontrunners.  Looks like the LBB game will decide the champ again.  But,  any given Saturday one of the other schools could upset the odds.

Ironic- As luck would have it,  was sitting next to the Peltz family at the  July 4th Glen Ellyn Fireworks.     Whether you are Wheaton fan or not,  having a lengthy conversation with the Peltz/Swider families is well worth it.  What a class act and very motivating.   Definitely some great role models on and off the field.

NCC recruits

58 names including what looks to be 5 transfers.
Would be nice to at least have positions listed rather than just name/hometown/prev school.

Pretty sure they're all WRs.

Yep. They heard the doubts about their WR corps and responded with a class of 58 WRs.

Pretty sure they're all WRs.

They heard the doubters saying the WR corps is weak and went out and splashed.

Man, 35 seniors back on the strength of last season?  That sounds like it'll be painful for the rest of the CCIW not named NCC.

Wheaton is a QB away from being a top 4 team in the country. They have depth, experience and lots of talent/speed at every position. Defensively they will be better than ever (and last year they led the nation in sacks). As an added plus they are 3 deep at kicker!

NCC has similar experience and talent returning with different question marks (WR/DB). Those two will definitely be national contenders and top 10/Top 5 teams IMO.

It's an unusually strong top 2 in the CCIW this year.
