I'm pulling for NCC simply because D3 as a whole could use the reminder that it's possible for someone not wearing purple to win a title.  A little fresh blood would be good for the entire division.

As a Mount Union fan I agree, was heartbroken to lose but was really  glad it wasn't to one of the usual suspects.

I was talking about the actual wait. That game was 5 years ago.  Yes four games have been played since then. But, trust me, the wait has been five years. I don't sense the national D-III fans rallying to our side as I had hoped.

I had guessed that's what they'd do.  I love it!  The only other option, I think, would be black red black because I know a bunch of players like it.  The classic look makes me happy, though.

I read on Twitter that perhaps ESPN had input on the home/away designations.  Perhaps they wanted certain uniform colors?  Pat, any insight on this?

It's actually about what looks best on TV in terms of fans. I think the committee makes the call, rather than the network, but the committee wants as many fans as possible on the side opposite the cameras, aka the visitors side. Often that is whoever is closer to the game site, in terms of travel. In this case, obviously, kind of a wash.

Not really... I'm not whining about the losses.  We got our butts beat in 2007 and didn't make the plays that we needed to make in 2010.  2019 is a new year, and this is not the 2007 or 2010 Cardinals!
