Wheaton has posted their current spectator policy.

Seems like reasonable regulations.  Unfortunately their bathroom already was one of the worst in the conference so I try not to go in there anyways.  Hide in the trees by the railroad!!

Good to hear from you again, MB. Hope you're doing well.

Thanks Greg.  Doing my best to hang in there.  Glad for the cooler temps (if only for right now) and that football is starting up again.  Everyone has been really supportive during my difficult time since the passing of my wife.  Thanks again to all who sent PM's and their prayers my way.  I continue to be lifted up by them.

Outside of rain or snow, if you can get there before the end of the first quarter, you're usually ok.  After that, I agree that it becomes a risk.

Great podcast with Pat and Greg on D3.com front page. They hosted Jesse Scott for a few minutes. Pat and Greg revealed they both (and separately) ranked Wheaton #1 on their respective ballots. That's 2 of the 4 votes Wheaton got in the D3.com poll. North Central also captured 4 first place votes, along with Mt Union (6) and #1 ranked MHB (10).

Wheaton's visitor's bleachers are a Super Spreader waiting to happen!   :P

I know that was written in jest, but I agree.  As someone who has seen a breakthrough case in his family, I'll be wearing a mask when I'm in those Wheaton visitor stands, per the CDC's recommendation:
"In areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and for activities with close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated."

Carroll's roster is finally up.

1 Graduate
11 Seniors
10 Juniors
20 Sophomores
68 Freshmen

Should be an interesting year in Waukesha.

As the rosters are finally being announced it appears to be another year of the most competitive games will be between the lower half teams.  With Augie losing momentum from their 2019 subtle improvement in roster, looks like Elmhurst, NP, Carroll, Augie and even Carthage to be battling at the bottom.

Augie6

Interesting story at Augie, with Thomas Hall being named the starting QB for the opener against Rhodes.  Hall was an all state QB at Metamora his senior year of 2019.  Initially started at the Air Force Academy as a basketball recruit, before transferring to Bradley to play basketball.  Not sure if he also plans to play BB at Augie, but I hope so.  At 6'8'' and 235 lbs, I have to believe he is the tallest starting QB to play in the CCIW.
Augie Football:  CCIW Champions:  1949-66-68-75-81-82-83-84-85-86-87-88-90-91-93-94-97-99-01-05-06     NCAA Champions:  1983-84-85-86

The coaches poll posits that there's a very dramatic difference in quality between Augie and Carthage, on the one hand, and the other three teams that you mentioned. Augie and Carthage were tied for sixth in the poll with 41 points apiece, while Elmhurst, Carroll, and NPU all sit down at the bottom with point totals in the teens.

Not that the coaches have it right, but I'd bet that there is a broader consensus behind their statement that the CCIW's two Lutheran schools are a full tier above Elmhurst, Carroll, and NPU.

So you're saying they won't be running much option..... ;D

Bethel 59
North Park 7

This one went pretty much according to form. Bethel is outstanding. The Royals looked like a team that could go deep into the playoffs.
