Another game with big Pool C implications:

BW 14 MT Union 17 with 4 min left and BW driving. If BW wins, 3 way tie in OAC. If the tiebreaker favors BW or JCU, Mt Union steals a Pool C.

BW just took a 21-17 lead with 22 seconds remaining.

Edit: Mount wins on a Hail Mary that bounced off the head of a defender on the final play of the game.

I had looked up the OAC tiebreaker in between the scores, and a three team/8-1 tiebreaker is broken by a secret vote of the head coaches from other seven teams in the conference, which is insanely political.

USee

I knew that, and they likely would vote JCU or BW in so the league could get 2 teams cuz Mt would be a Pool C lock.

kiko

Exactly.  If they pick Mount, they get one team.  If they don't, they get two.  And Mount probably still hosts every weekend until the Stagg Bowl.

I mean, "wins by Hail Mary off a defender's head" is a secondary criteria I'm pretty sure, so...

I hate that Matt Rush did not get to play in his last regular season game, but Clark Stephens was fantastic today and he is only a sophomore.

Seems the $64,000 question is WHY didn't Rush play.
But based on how Stephens did, maybe they don't need Rush if they go to the Isthmus Bowl?
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

Well he was on crutches after the Wheaton game (didn't play the last two series)

Rush decided to run the ball on a 4 and 5 against and got taken down hard.

It will be interesting to see if Rush returns next season, given his success this season.

If I was an SID, I might nominate Stephens and Goldberg for the D3Football team of the week, but I am not.

Looks like some programs need to shake up some things in the coming days.

Very curious if some CCIW programs will clean house and start looking for new coaches.

Me as well. Lots of teams in the CCIW are heading in the wrong direction. Would like to see the conference be more competitive.
