We should know sometime tonight or tomorrow morning what Vegas thinks about this matchup.

I'm expecting something like NCC -17.5 and would expect a total around 70.. but we'll see. Definitely a new matchup for oddsmakers to deal with considering there have only been 6 different teams (I think) that have played in the Stagg Bowl in the last 10 seasons. Cortland will be the 7th.

70 should be the O/U on NCC points.  Your numbers would be "put the mortgage down" type numbers, I hope Vegas agrees with you

If Vegas gives us anything 75 or less the over is a slammer, agreed.

I've got a feeling this is going to look a lot like the 2021 UHMB-NCC Stagg bowl. NCC were able to do a bit offensively but the athletes at the skill positions for UHMB were a level above NCC and NCC ultimately couldn't cope.

That said, my prediction for Wartburg was way off so... (and oddly enough I thought that one would look like the OTHER NCC-UHMB meeting).

with all due respect to Cortland, that would be a dream for ESPN and the NCAA (are they one in the same these days?).  I'm hoping for a competitive shoot-out, but it's going to be a physical mismatch with a bunch of long NCC runs and pop passes for TDs.  63-21.  Cortland will keep the starters in a get a late TD

UMHB over NCC 57-24 isn't a long way off 63-21 in terms of competitiveness.

my bad.  I think that NCC physically dominates the Red Dragons and 63 points will be extremely merciful

My only concern is that NCC's defense is pretty decimated. Cortland may be able to put some points up as NCC's defense has to be a little emotionally drained after their effort at Wartburg. NCC'S offense keeps rolling, I wonder if Coleman will be used more to pound the Cortland d-line.

I'm not an insider on injuries, I know NCC lost a tight end early in the season and did they also lose to injury a D Tackle Lester? I saw him last year against Wheaton and he caused all kinds of problems.

Anyone find the game on an actual book available to bet?

in the past, the stagg bowl generally pops up later in the day of game on the books

Wishing both teams the best tonight. Hoping for a competitive and most importantly injury free game. I have so much respect for the NCC program and always enjoy watching them play.

I was reading the picks on the front page today (while I'm supposed to be sponging information at a professional conference...priorities) I'm honestly surprised that many see the game being quite close. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and my that perspective is skewed from the decades of Eastless Stagg Bowls.  ;)

Enjoy the game everyone.

Just as everyone predicted from these 2 high powered offenses:

0-0 after 1

Just laughing to myself about how funny it would be if this thing was a war of attrition that finished something like 3-0, 6-3, or 7-6

The thing is, the offenses are moving. NCC is averaging 6.8 YPP and Cortland is at 5. But both teams seem to want to limit possessions, and drives are taking a lot of time
