Mt St Joseph 21
IWU 0

around 8 to play

(pretty sure... the IWU announcers haven't given the actual score for the last 10-15 minutes that I've been listening... just stated how much IWU was down... >:( ::) )

I assume Mt St Joseph has this one, time to go back to the Wheaton crushing of Wash U  8)

and it's

Wheaton 35
Wash U 0
3 to play in the 3Q

Things are never as good as they seem and things are never as bad as they seem.

17-10 Jays over Maroons at the end of the 3Q... that's a closer game than I thought it would be... esp considering that Elmhurst had to come from behind to lead at this point...  :-\

The backups are in for the Wheaton game, 9 minutes to play in that game, still 41-0 Wheaton.

Washdupcard-

I think Cary Grove is ranked in the top 20 in Illinois. Cary Grove plays their 4th game today against Huntley I believe. Should be a win

Carthage-31 Whittier-2 with 8:13 to go in the 4th

Thanks diehardfan  ;D

np... though you might want to make your screen name reflect that :P ;)

Wheaton scores again, this time with the backups.... 63yrd reception... 48-0 Wheaton.  8)

I love the WETN broadcasters... they're using great words like bruised and battered and dominated... which is true... but still fun.  :)

Our points ratio has to be one of the best in the nation right now.

Good game overall by Wheaton.  I'll give my thoughts later tonight - going to Chicago for a dinner.

I'm sure usee will cover things between now and then.

But the summary:
Andy Studebaker is an absolute stud.  If he stays healthy, he will be the best DE in Wheaton history.  He was going against a 6'5" 290lb tackle and he was man-handling him.  One time it looked like a Reggie White bull-rush back into the QB.

Pete Ittersagen - amazing.

Defense over all great.

Jeremy Chupp stats make it look like he had a great game, but 2 of his TD's could/should have been interceptions.  Made some real poor decisions, IMO.  I wish Wheaton could run the ball just a bit more effectively.

After seeing Zach Ullrich play... I have more confidence in him as QB.  Chupp's poor decisions on some throws work out fine against the Washinton U.'s, but will not against Augie, NCC, Carthage, etc...

Still another strong game to get ready for the conference schedule.

Just got back from the Wheaton game.  Die hard fan with my bad hip and herniated disk in my back.  Yet the doctor gave me happy magic pills.  The defensive play was off the chart.  Possibly two all Americans on the defense Andy Studebaker and Pete Ittersagen.  Wheaton mixed it up on offense Noah Dryer had a great game.  QB Jeremy Chupp looked great at times yet had a couple of bad throws with NO Wheaton player around at all.  Wheaton looks to be one of the best defenses in D3 so far.  One series of offensive plays yielded some penalties but overall the penalties were down.  Overall another great game to build on.

Very similar thoughts on the game.
