Here are my guesses. ;D

North Park  24 Carthage 38

Go Thunder:
I'm curious to know why you think NP will put up 24 points against Carthage tomorrow? Carroll scored 6, Lakeland 14, Whittier 2, Elmhurst 20 & IWU 28 (2 of IWU's td's were long plays, one on a busted pass play). I've not seen NP play yet this year, but what I've read here about the Vikes doesn't impress me that their offense has much fire-power. I'm sure this is just a hunch on your part, but I'm still curious as to your reasoning?

It would warm the cockels of my heart if you worked the word "Trumball" in a post.

Having been called a "boy toy" once in the last 48 hours  >:(, I'm not sure it to be wise to "warm the cockles" of another posters heart at this point (or at any point for that matter).

Game on, Tailgate on! Looking forward to seeing you again and catching up on your post collegiate activities.

GoThunder--  I agree with what Tailgater said AND,  do you think Wheaton is capable of limiting Augie to only 7 points?  Going into the game vs. Augie I thought Elmhurst's front 4 were very strong, and Augie managed 14 points a half.  I think Augie at least scores 7 a half tomorrow.  I think Wheaton win's this game with their offense and Chaz Black running well tomorrow.

Tailgater, did you receive the package I sent you in the mail?  I hope you did and would like to hear your reflections on it.  Best of luck to Carthage tomorrow. M

We had a DT at Augie in the mid-80's (Lynn Thomsen) whose tackle statistics weren't all that impressive, but if you asked anyone who played or coached against him, they will all tell you what a great player he was.  Opposing coaches would design offensive game plans with his presence in mind.  Regardless of statistics, when coaching staffs take into account the abilities of a single player into their game plans, it says alot about the talent of that player.

Mugsy, you made Greg feel really good when you used the word "foster" in one of your posts recently.  Now if you could just find a use for the word "kedzie."

Hiker Jim, I must confess that I can not recall any recent post where I
invoked the term "foster".  Perhaps credit belongs elsewhere for the
additional joy brought to Greg?  Given my affinity for math, logic and
zenzizenzizenzic theory, I would find it quite difficult to drum up the
literary expertise to derive a entertaining use of the word
you seek.  I leave this to those who are truly gifted.

Tailgater -

Looking forward to seeing you tomar at the game. Ill stop by the tailgate before the game.

I'm still trying to figure out if this was an intentional humorous pun or not being as "tomar" is the spanish word for the verb "drink," as in tomar una cerveza.  If I've just completely ruined the joke and made a fool of myself because it was supposed to be obvious, my apologies.  But I did think it was funny nonetheless.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

North Park senior wide out Brandon Watts continues his assault on the record books and opponents in 2006. Watts currently places first in five CCIW statistical categories. He leads the league in receptions per game (6.8), receiving yards per game (86.4) and all-purpose yardage per game (161), kick return average (23.5) as well as punt return average (20.1). He ranks 19th in the country in receptions per game, 15th nationally in all-purpose yards per game and second nationally in punt return average.

per the NPU site.  This kid is really good

Has it really been 19 years since the Jays won the battle of the birds in the Cardinals' nest? EC has been building a strong football foundation in recent years as the Jays aim at repositioning themselves atop the CCIW. Let us not forget that a year ago in Langhorst, it took a 4th and 17 Kam Kniss miracle to dash the hopes of a fiesty Elmhurst team that had stiffled the Cardinals vaunted offense for 3 quarters. Take Spencer and Holden out of the picture, remove Radtke from the fold and what's left is Kniss and a handful of role players on this year's NCC team.
Look for the Jays D to step up in this statement game, boasting 11 returning starters from last year's unit that had a better Cardinals team on the ropes. Kam will get his yards, but the Bluebirds will get the W.

Ghost of Langhorst,

Step away from the bong. Apparently, you've taken one too many hits.

If you think NCC is nothing but Kniss and a bunch or role players, you clearly know little about Elmhurst's opponent for today.
