Tailgater-- that is precisely why I feel Carthage is going to have a BIG say in how the CCIW will wind up.  Both Wheaton and North Central still have to play the Big Red.
CardinalAlum-- The Cardinals have 3 non conference home games next year?  How did they arrange that?
EC's 2007 schedule is just a flip flop/same order as 2006.  @IBC (wish they would get rid of the Eagles), @Chicago  Home Olivet  then the CCIW schedule.

[It would be great for the Cardinals to get a playoff spot and travel to Concordia Wisconsin and avenge the season-opening loss.

The committee is not real keen at 1st round rematches (it did happen to wheaton v alma a few years back) so I wouldn't count on that.

Actually the committee has no problem with a rematch of a non-conference game. It's only rematches of conference games that are specifically to be avoided.

Quite a different tone out of Naperville this weekend now that they are in the drivers seat to the AQ (and that they've been without the Bell for close to a month :P)!

It wasn't long ago one NCC poster claimed the program was taking steps backward due to grumblings behind the scenes with how Coach Thorne and staff were handling things.  Of course that was the only voice making such a claim... still quite a significant change in discussion for North Central.

(Before anyone jumps on me, I did not side with that opinion.)

Wow seems like I missed a lot being away this weekend. Huge win by NCC which stirs up the conference. Congrats to the Redmen on their win yesterday. Sounds like Carthage can't fight off the injury bug. I know injuries can not be an excuse but the Redmen need to be near full strength to beat Wheaton and NCC. These last two weeks should be very exciting. This is what CCIW football is all about  ;D

Good question.  I will take it, especially when you figure there will be a new QB in there next year!  Benedictine will be better under Cooper.  It's a natural rivalry game with them being down the street.

That was me mugsy. At the time, I was reiterating what I was hearing in the stands and from the players. I hear, however, that things started changing for the good during the week of  Milikin . The players are feeling like they are being treated as a TEAM again. No more starters quit the team and I haven't heard of anymore talk of starters saying that they are not returning next year. Many posters took my posts as negativism that players are not playing. That was not it at all. It wasn't because of a lose either. It was the general attitude of the coaching staff. But, as I said, the ship seems to have been righted. Thank god!!

Seems to jive with the way they've been playing as of late.  Just so ya' know I wasn't pointing a finger at you and claiming it was bogus.  I don't have any insight into the NCC program other than what I read hear.  The issues you raised seemed contrary to the type of coach Thorne is though.

I just thought it remarkable the change in the last 3-4 weeks at NCC, both in the level of play and the tone of the posts.

stole it from usee... now we need to get all other Wheaton posters to do the same and the plan to annoy CardinalAlum will be coming together nicely.

I'm real tired.  I knew the second I posted that this would be your come back.  I'm truly scared that I know the mind of CardinalAlum. :-\
