Thought it was very interesting that Brandon Fox from Carthage was left off. He is one of the best LB's in the league.

Agree with you here.

And that speaks nothing negative of North Central, just that Capital is a really great team as well and I like Wheaton's upset chances better because of their defense.

According to the CCIW website North Central has the better overall defense in composite 252.7 yards/game vs Wheaton 268.8 and in Conf. play the two defenses are almost idenical NC 264.9 vs WC 264.0...

A lot of those yards were against Wheaton's second and third-string defense at the end of blowouts.  I am pretty sure the starting unit gave up single-digit points per game.

[I can see how people on this board like to take the classy move and -k without explanation.  Yet promotion of drinking and drunkenness is applauded.  Step up to the plate and own up to it and argue your point.  I think your supposed to be college grads.

I am not sure what he is refering to, but after reading  this and the Bible quote at the bottom, I am not feeling that botherly love. I also seem to remember that K points were not going to be discussed by this poster.
With ordinary talents and extraordinary perseverance, all things are attainable.

Usee and Mugsy, I guess if the conference officials were nice enough to snub you on the trophy presentation, hopefully it's a little consolation you took 2 out of 3 of the major all-conf. awards.  Congrats.  No matter which way the coaches went for COY (Swider or Thorne) I think either one was extremely deserving.

We're all Thunder and Cardinal fans for a little while, so hopefully both teams will make that last longer than 1 or 2 weeks.
Hail, Hail, the gang's all here, all out for Wesleyan!

and if Sulo gets a solid QB in, he could be the early frontrunner for the OPOY.

I think Zach Ullrich (QB Wheaton) will have something to say about that.  8)

Even better than sending 2 teams to Mt Union would be a rematch at E. McCully field in the regional final!! :o :o

You beat me too it. A  rematch would be sweet!!!

and the Augie Kicker was 1st team??

Denny from carthage 2nd team and no mention of boganno

This one completely makes no sense!

I don't get it.

It seemed to me honor the senior, throw the junior a consolation prize, and the freshman will have three more chances.

I only saw Augie once, and they tried no field goals, no extra points, and one unspectacular kickoff. So, I have no opinion on their kicker. Denny from Carthage does have a strong leg.

There are three possible explanations for the postings from Go Thunder.

1. All this strangeness began after he related a story of falling down the stairs and bruising his ribs. Maybe he's been taking rather strong painkillers.

2. He's trying to acccomplish something no one else has --- amass the highest amount of negative karma.

3. Aliens from another universe or conference have stolen his user id and password.

Just kinda playing Devil's advocate here to take up Patterson's case. You can't really base a decision on one game where he had zero scoring opportunities. I'm wondering if the fact that Bognanno missed five PAT's and for the most part didn't do the Cardinals' kicking-off worked against him. He also didn't show Patterson's range (3-5 from 40+).

Like I said I'm just playing Devil's advocate because I'd have no problem with either Bognanno (a QC kid, by the way, who I used to watch kick for Alleman) or Denny.

Did Fox not have a good year this season as compared to before?
We will always be REDMEN

This college grad (who has heretofore avoided this catfight) at least knows enough to say 'you're'.

I believe Fox's statistics are down, but only because other teams were going away from him.  I think he made a fair amount of good plays but his big play numbers( INT, FF, Rec F) are down from his past two seasons when he was an all american and all conference player
These are as good as money, these are IOU's

I thought Fox played pretty well this year. He did miss one conference game, if that actually matters. I believe he was the team leading tackler and unquestionably the leader on the field for the Defense. Many teams do scheme away from him, but on many occasions in several games he came up with a big play. Certainly you can't argue with his ability to hit. He can really tatoo you! I'm surpsised he was not selected.
