OL-- Ryan Glassman (Carthage) and Louie Rachmaciej (Elmhurst) were great O-Lineman last year.
DB's   Norman Robinson (North Central) was a good one,  Eric Esch at IWU is very talented also.

That-a-boy Jaybird! Good call on Glassman. +karma for you my friend.

There has been many outstanding players in the CCIW over the years since 1995. Many I have only heard of, but never saw play. I feel unqualified to select the 3 best at any particular position, but I can throw a few Redmen into the conversation. Some have already been mentioned. RB Randall Baker, Dante Washington, LB Mike Pelkowski, Brandon Fox, FS Brett Barnes, DL Jason Kalinowski, OL Ryan Glassman, Jon Binish.

For what it matters (to provide fodder and pages of posts deriding the sheer lunacy) I hope to post my thoughts on the top 3 at all positions since 95'.  I want to make sure I have enough time to properly think this out and recall as many players from all schools as possible.

Finally!  Great catch Brass Bell.  I think this is a GREAT hire for the NCC program.  Tim Lester is a great young coach who will do wonders for recruiting.  When he was at Elmhurst, he brought in some outstanding football players.   It will be interesting to see what his defensive philosophy will be.  I'm sure that he will have a better grasp of pass defense than what we have seen recently.

You have to give it to a guy for making family a top priority.  Also, as an offensive guy, he might have a step up in knowledge of what can drive an offense nuts when a defense is performing well.

Ok, I admit Mugsy would have been my next choice!   :P

Is Weinke no longer with the staff? or is he staying on to coach LB's and be the strength and conditioning coach, or is he leaving for another school?

CardinalAlum

From what I have heard, Weinke will be staying on the staff.   I'm not sure about the capacity he will be staying on in.

Thats real good. Weinke is a great strength and conditioning guy and a very good defensive coach.  They had to rebuild a bit in the secondary this past year, but I'm glad he is going to be around he brings that intensity and work ethic. You can hear him anywhere in the stadium  ;)

I'm glad he's staying as well.  I know that he is very well liked by the players and athletic staff.

Any major coaching changes elsewhere in the CCIW?

Are the Auggie faithful still clamoring for changes in the staff there or philosophy?
What about IWU?

Carthage seemed to be in a rebuilding mode, but they lost some great OL, do they have capable guys to reload or could this be a long season for the redmen?

(Not instigating but I'm bored as heck and I need some discussion)
