Wheaton, Ill. - Comcast SportNet-Chicago visited the Thunder football team on Tuesday and will air a piece on Wheaton's run to the NCAA Division III National Semifinal on Wednesday night's 10 PM edition of SportsNite. SportsNite may start shortly after 10 due to a live broadcast of Chicago Blackhawks hockey - as of press time the piece on Wheaton was scheduled to air approximately between 10:15-10:45 PM.

Just noticed that Wisc-Platteville has it's 2010 football schedule out and Wheaton has replaced Augustana in the 3rd week of the season.  Does anyone know why this series will end after 14 years of playing each other???  It seemed like a great series and was always well attended by both teams fans,  both in Platteville under the lights and in Rock Island.  While Augie has an 8-4 edge (9-4 if you count the game cancelled with the Vikes up due to lightning) the games were always exciting and rarely blow outs.  However, it appears next September's game in Rock Island will be the last b/w these two.  Can anyone shed some light on this?  Who will Augie be replacing Platteville with in 2010???
