"A lotta heart on this team, they just keep coming."

Mt. Union announcers complimentary of Wheaton's effort.

Wheaton converts on 4th and 1.  Now has another 4th down, this time 10 yards.  On MUC 36...

Norris had a long time to pass... held it too long and was sacked.  Huge play, again by MUC.

Kmic needs 21 yards to break the rushing record.

Micheli to Petruziello again... for the 9th time.

Kmic another long run for the record and a TD.  42 yards.  He does it too easily.

Wheaton drive stalls... close but no cigar.  Then MUC drives down for a TD in less than 2 minutes and only 5 plays.

Like a broken record... how many TD drives does MUC have against Wheaton that finish in under 2 minutes and less than 6-7 plays in 6 games.  I'd put the over under at 25.

Congratulations Nate Kmic. What a career.

As usual, Mt. Union responds and capitalizes after stopping Wheaton on 4th down, marching right down the field for a score, topped off by Kmic's record breaking run.

What a career for Kmic.  I remember seeing him as a freshman.  It seems like he's been there forever; I won't be sorry to see him go.

Amazing.  MUC makes all the big plays.  Just when you think your on the verge of closing the game under 21 points and making a game of it... MUC strikes quickly and puts it out of touch.

Wheaton putting reserves in... Bradley in for Norris.  Probably to protect Norris since he had a concussion last week.  Great game by Sean.

I sometime wonder how spoiled MUC fans have become.  Do they really understand how unique their situation is?

Congrats Nate ... "very impressive" is quite an understatement.

In all seriousness, every time I see a shot of players from Mount Union (with their helmets off), they look like men compared to the college boys from Wheaton.  As the saying goes ... "men among boys"

Mugsy, it's frustrating as heck to watch.  But having seen all of Mt. Union's Stagg Bowl appearances since 1996 in person, this is par for the course for them from what I've seen - not just against Wheaton.  Not in every Stagg Bowl of course, but I've seen them do pretty much the same thing to a bunch of very good, previously undefeated teams while playing for a championship.

Still, if Wheaton had avoided the self inflicted mistakes (fumble, dropped passes) this game would carry a more respectable score.

Hershey rips off an long run... more yards than his total for the day.

MUC 2nd team in the game.  Kehres calls a TO to let his 2nd team know his displeasure at allowing Wheaton to drive down the field in 4 plays.  Down to the MUC 11 yard line.

TD to Pokorny from Bradley.  Congrats to Bradley on the TD.  Nice pass.

MUC 45-24

Wheaton has 324 yards against MUC.  Respectable.

Ummm... MUC has 611 yards.  Sick... :-\

I'm not sure I agree. Your thunder boys look pretty damn good in their own right. If they hadn't shot themselves in the foot several times, it would've been more evident how close they were in terms of ability.

No,, many do not appreciate what they have,, nor do they realize how hard it is to keep it going ( just a former coaches opinion)

Don't get me wrong ... I'm not commenting on the Thunder's effort rather on the "manly" appearance of the players from Mount.

Absolutely, despite some turnovers and a failure to stop Kmic, Wheaton's effort has been commendable.
