Not to knock Ittersagen but I think Wenger was a more dominating player this year than he was.  I think it shows that the people who pick the all american teams pay little attention to the regular season.

Wenger was more dominant in the regular season (and was in a position where he could be) but ittersagen was far more productive in the playoffs.

Another great season for D3 Football. It was a great game to end on and I kept thinking UWW was going to tie it up.

Congrats to MUC 10 National Titles in 16 years.

Did anyone else notice the clock running during the out of bounds pass plays on UWW last drive for a touchdown.  I think they lost at least 40 secs on that drive alone.  Particularly on two pass plays on MUC end of the field.  May or may not have made a difference, but would have required MUC to make a first down to run out the clock.

Glad to see UWW make a game out of what looked at the beginning to be a blowout.

Congrats to the D3football.com All-Americans as selected

Pete Ittersagen 1st team DB  2nd team Returner

Jesse Scott   1st team OL

Matt Wenger 2nd team LB

Randy Wright 3rd team LB

Unfortunately they didnt take 4 LBs, because I think Wenger would have been the next guy, but thats just my opinion, biased maybe.

I can't begin to tell you all how disappointed I will be if we don't have a regular poster in this room next year named Mr. Ypsi's Female Dog.

And, no, I'm not volunteering to change my name to that if Redman04 wins the bet.

You forgot Wheaton OT Jesse Scott, named to the 1st team offense

This will probably be taken as a biased opinion but I'm pretty disappointed that Pokorny was left off the All-American teams.  Over 1,400 yards receiving and 19 TD's is an AA season to me.

Agreed.  Unfortunately I believe this is a factor of how he kinda came out of nowhere this year.  I don't think anyone outside of those close to the Wheaton program had expectations set so high for Pokorny.

The numbers are there for certain, but name recogition prior this season probably hurt him.  I am amazed at the season he put together.  Outstanding.

I agree. Alex Pokorny was as good as any reciever I saw this season. He was as productive as anybody. He was well deserving of an AA selection.

If that's what you think you haven't been paying very close attention to my posts this season.

Any CCIW folks coming down to VA for the Stagg Bowl?  I'll be there, probably wearing an old Wheaton practice jersey over  my sweatshirt.  Just call me Uncle Rico . . .

I got dibs on that one...     :D

I must have misremembered    but I fixed it :)

Even though the offense played relatively well against Mount Union, it didnt help that he went down early...(I think it was the first half)

Actually I think Jesse Scott got hurt in pregame warmups. He never took a snap v mt union

Hard to imagine how nobody knew Pokorny.  He ran a 4.23 40 and was a primary target all year.

Additionally, Jesse Scott played the first series against MUC and then came out for the rest of the game.
